News Article Did you know that the SDC Furies XP competed in the team's 10th MWSL season?
posted: Jul 8th, 2012 The first scores of a weekend with multiple events arrived from Chicagoland Skydiving where the teams of the Midwest Skydiving League came together for the second meet of the year. MWSL Director Alan Butt reported that this weekend's competition was part of Chicagoland Skydiving’s official Grand Opening day on Saturday in Rochelle, IL. It took place during a record heat wave in the Chicago area with a high temperature of 101 that holds the unofficial record for the hottest MWSL meet ever. However, Alan Butt said that the weather was eminently jumpable with sunny skies and a light western breeze,... (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL-TV features SDC Rhythm XP with Craig Girard?
posted: Jul 7th, 2012 The NSL News reported the Midway Battle 2012 with two stories. The first one was a preview that broke the news that Craig Girard would fill the Center Inside slot for Chris Farina. The second one came together with the scores from Skydive Chicago. The 22.6 average was the highest outdoor result for Rhythm, and the new video shows all ten rounds. It offers the opportunity to watch Craig Girard once again in action, which is actually nothing so unusual for the NSL News audience. News Article Did you know that the FSL/iFLY Orlando team launched an indoor project with 84 points?
posted: Jul 6th, 2012 July's FSL Tunnel Kicker took place Tuesday night at iFLY Orlando and included a special event this time. The NSL News mentioned earlier that teams and competitors of the Northwest Skydiving League and the Florida Skydiving League have added an internal indoor showdown to the monthly meet dates, which is similar to the Little Cloud Skydiving project for virtual outdoor meets. The indoor option has a big advantage, as it is not relying on the weather. The outdoor season opener of the Northwest Skydiving League was completely weathered out last weekend. However, the NWSL teams and competitiors... (more)

posted: Jul 5th, 2012 The NSL News has brought up the internal and unofficial Scandinavian championship quite a few times in the past. The teams from Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and sometimes Iceland, are keeping their eyes on each other's scores while competing at the same events or even at different meets. This internal competition usually takes place in the Open Class. However, this year the Scandinavian countries also have three lineups for the female 4way competition at the World Meet 2012. Norway's team Polaris is well known to the NSL News audience, the Danish Divas were on two NSL leaderboards in 2011,... (more)
News Article Did you know that competing during the Midsummer Night Boogie in Finland is challenging?
posted: Jul 4th, 2012 The longest day of the year, Midsummer Night on June 21st, is probably the biggest celebration of all holidays in the Scandinavian countries. The summer is short in the northern parts of Europe, and skydiving events need to be squeezed into the short window. It's a time with higher frequency of meets and events than in other areas. Finland's Juhannus Day midsummer boogie took place from 18th to 24th of June, starring big way training from two Cessna Caravans, wing suit flocks and abundant rainfall. This year's event was hosted by the Tampere Parachuting Club at the home dropzone on the Jämijärvi... (more)
News Article Did you know that Patrick Boulongne finally asked Sophie Deremaux the big question?
posted: Jul 3rd, 2012 A special event took place not even two weeks ago in France, and Aerodyne Deep Blue Defender Perrine Sanchez provided the NSL News with the details: "It was a long wait. Last year, Patrick Boulongne FINALLY asked Sophie Deremaux if she wanted to marry him. After six years, Sophie Deremaux thought that marriage wasn’t really something Patrick Boulongne was interested in. So she didn’t expect it anymore. However, she did not hesitate a second when it was eventually time to say yes." "The next step into a more private and personal world came when Sophie Deremaux decided to discontinue her international... (more)
