posted: Apr 24th, 2017 The Sun Path Products NSL News had mentioned in earlier updates that Arizona Airspeed was planning to attend the U.S. qualification event for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017 in Montreal. iFLY Virginia Beach hosted the 10-round competition last weekend, and Airspeed had no troubles winning and securing the U.S. slot for the world meet in October. SDC Rhythm XP, the only potential opponent for the reigning U.S. 4-way champions from Arizona, had also announced earlier that the team will focus on outdoor competition this year and skip both meets. Did you know that NFTO moved closer to Volition at the World Challenge 2017?
posted: Apr 23rd, 2017 The World Challenge did not include a separate leaderboard for teams in the FAI 4-way Women category this year. Only three teams had signed up during the registration period, and host Paul Mayer decided to place the three teams on the AAA Class leaderboard, together with all other Open Class teams, and honor their category separately during the award ceremony. This created a new and unique situation, as the French Weembi Girls were first on the podium as the best team in 4-way Women before they picked up their check and medals for the 3rd place in the AAA/Open Class competition. Did you know that Blue Steel and DeLand Kickers finished tied after ten WTL rounds at iFLY Tampa?
posted: Apr 22nd, 2017 The U.S. teams from Florida did not have the same travel agenda as the Czech and Slovakian teams, who competed again in Prague three days after the completion of the World Challenge 2017 in Bedford. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 15 April 2017 that five teams were back in action at the Hurricane Factory for the April meet of the World Tunnel League. The U.S. part of the meet took place at iFLY Tampa in Florida, and a total of five teams added their names to the combined leaderboard with the 13 teams in the Czech Republic. posted: Apr 21st, 2017 Mass Defiance, USPA Advanced Class champion of 2005 usually makes the Sun Products NSL News headlines after the USPA Nationals or the indoor competition at SkyVenture New Hampshire. The New England team was founded in 2004 and competed at all national championships until 2008 before slowing down with training and competition and only coming back at random events for reunions with modified lineups. Did you know that Poland has become a solid part of international 4-way competition?
posted: Apr 21st, 2017 The first time that the Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned a 4-way team from Poland was related to the VFS category on 4 August 2013. Fly Definition had joined the international Formation Skydiving competition community and then competed at the World Cup 2013. A year later on 4 October 2016, it was time for the introduction of more Polish 4-way teams after the national championships. Three of the teams who competed at the Polish Nationals 2014 (No Mercy, Flyspot Chicks, Sky4Four) are still active on a significantly higher performance level. Did you know that JETMAX completed the team's first AAA Class meet with the new lineup in Bedford?
posted: Apr 19th, 2017 Four of the 33 AAA Class teams at the World Challenge 2017 competed for the first time in this category in Bedford: HF Flying Circus (Czech Republic), JETMAX (Belgium), Equinox (Lithuania) and Nova (Sweden). For Nova, it was also the first AAA Class meet, while the other three teams had some previous AAA Class meet experience before traveling to Bedford. Flying Circus and Equinox had stepped up into the AAA Class at the end of the 2016 season, while JETMAX took on the complete dive pool for the first time at the Wind Games 2017.
