Did you know that Savolo defended the South African 4-way title successfully in April? posted: May 7th, 2017 The Sun Path Products NSL News credited South Africa's Savolo as the most improved national 4-way Open Class team of 2016 on 5 January 2017, after a very good performance at the FAI Mondial 2016.
Savolo then competed at the World Challenge 2017 to qualify for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017, as South Africa does not have a wind tunnel in the country. The national championships at the end of April then qualified Savolo for the participation as the national team at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2017 in Saarlouis, Germany.

Did you know that the Czech 4-way teams concluded the indoor winter season with the national championships? posted: May 6th, 2017 After competing at the World Challenge 2017 and the World Tunnel League April meet, and after posting April scores for the Indoor Cloud League's 14+ leaderboard, some of the Czech 4-way teams finished off last month's 4-way activities at the Czech Indoor Nationals 2017.
HF Flying Circus, the Skydive University team from Slovakia and the three HF Junior teams (Cubs, Flies, Blue) attended all of these four events, and nine other Czech teams completed the field at the Czech Indoor Nationals on April 29th.

Did you know that Tanay is heading in the direction of a new Russian 8-way record average? posted: May 6th, 2017 Russia's national 8-way team Tanay did not wait too long after the FAI Mondial 2016 to make new plans for the 2017 season.
The bronze medal at Skydive Chicago was encouraging for the new 8-way team with the President of the Russian Skydiving Federation in the lineup, Andrey Barabash. Barkli, with sponsor Leonid Kazinets as a team member, had won two sets of bronze medals (2010, 2012) and silver medals in 2014 for Russia before Leonid Kazinets stepped back and Andrey Barabash started building a new 8-way team.

Did you know that iFLY Seattle's Indoor Cloud League team needs new 4-way rookies? posted: May 4th, 2017 The 14+ leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League offers a new situation on the top, as the April competition is complete and submissions of the latest scores and videos slowly fade out.
The Hurricane Factory is currently in 3rd place on the April leaderboard, which is a very unusual experience. Two U.S. ICL teams are ahead of the Czech teams, and they are separated by one single point.

Did you know that Rotor Out defended the Australian 4-way title successfully in March? posted: May 3rd, 2017 The first national outdoor championship event of the 2017 season was not the South African Nationals, where Savolo successfully defended the 4-way title last week. There was an earlier competition that generated this year's first national 4-way champion.
The winner is also well known in the Formation Skydiving community. Rotor Out has been the Australian national 4-way team for many years and collected another title in March.
The Australian Nationals 2017 were not the qualification event for the FAI World Meet 2018 on home turf in Gold Coast. Rotor Out still has to win again next year, even... (more)
Did you know that five teams competed at the 2017 season opener of the Southern Skydiving League? posted: May 2nd, 2017 The long winter break for outdoor competition did not slow down the regular flow of 4-way meet information. Indoor events have kept the Sun Path Products NSL News busy enough.
The first outdoor leaderboard this year was generated at the Shamrock Showdown in March, and the first meets of the NSL Network leagues will be next.
In fact, the Southern Skydiving League launched its 2017 season last weekend with five teams at a new location, Skydive Spaceland-Atlanta in Georgia.
New SSL Director Caitlin Rice said that it was the first time that the SSL has opened the league region into Georgia.
