Did You Know...

... that the Czech 4-way teams concluded the indoor winter season with the national championships?

Bad Boys in action
posted May 6th, 2017 - After competing at the World Challenge 2017 and the World Tunnel League April meet, and after posting April scores for the Indoor Cloud League's 14+ leaderboard, some of the Czech 4-way teams finished off last month's 4-way activities at the Czech Indoor Nationals 2017.

HF Flying Circus, the Skydive University team from Slovakia and the three HF Junior teams (Cubs, Flies, Blue) attended all of these four events, and nine other Czech teams completed the field at the Czech Indoor Nationals on April 29th.

The Bad Boys defended their title successfully, and the major factor was Round 1, after which the Czech national team in 4-way Open started the 10-round meet with a 6-point lead. The experienced Bad Boys lineup took advantage of the fastest sequence of the meet, which included a slot switcher for front and rear pieces (Block 17).

The HF Chicks won the next five rounds by one point (98 - 97) before the Bad Boys wrapped it up in Round 8 and Round 9.

HF Junior Cubs in action
Flying Circus have established their 3rd place behind Bad Boys and HF Chicks and will now focus back on outdoor competition.

The young team competed in the AA Class last year where they won the national championships with a 10.0 average and then the ESL Championship with 11.4 after seven rounds in Saarlouis, Germany.

They moved up into the AAA Class competition with the beginning of the 2016/2017 indoor winter season and climbed up the Czech leaderboard, ahead of the CZ Ladies and into striking distance of the HF Chicks.

Bad Boys and CZ Ladies will be the Flying Circus targets for the upcoming AAA Class outdoor season after the indoor conclusion at the Hurricane Factory.

The Skydive University team from Slovakia, winner of the AA Class competition at the World Challenge, has not missed a meet at the Hurricane Factory since the beginning of the 2016/2017 indoor winter season and finished once again ahead of the HF Junior Cubs, who had missed the silver medals in Bedford by two points.

New Czech 4-way junior rookies in training
The leaderboard of the Czech Indoor Nationals 2017 is showing a problem that Jan Klapka, the Czech 4-way Godfather, is recently dealing with.

The Sun Path Products NSL News explained on 27 April 2017 that the Czech 4-way juniors learn and move up from the Rookie Class categories quickly. The 2017 championships did not have any teams in the Rookie Class, which is the first time in the Czech Republic.

Cubs and Flies have been competing in the AA Class, which is officially the highest FAI/IPC category, and HF Junior Blue competes in the A Class.

There is no doubt though that Jan Klapka is fully aware of the "problem" and is working on the next 4-way junior rookie lineups. HF Junior Green was already once or twice on the internal Czech Indoor Cloud League leaderboard...
