News Article Did you know that iFLY SF Bay and iFLY Sacramento had their next 1-point battle in June?
posted: Jul 5th, 2018 Previous Indoor Cloud League updates have mentioned the extremely tight competition on the 12+ leaderboard between the two teams of the Northern California Skydiving League, iFLY Sacramento and iFLY SF Bay. The ICL 2018 season began for both teams with a 1-point thriller to the advantage of iFLY SF Bay (102 - 101) in January. The recent and ongoing battle heated up again in April when iFLY Sacramento won by two points (111 - 109) and the NSL News picked up the topic on May 4th. The May competition turned out to be even tighter, as both teams finished with the same total (110 - 110) for the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Belgium teams try to win world meets in Soccer/Futbol and in Skydiving?
posted: Jul 4th, 2018 The visit of the Qatar Falcons at Skydive City for their recent training camp was covered by the NSL News on 1 July 2018. The update included videos of a few training jumps and an introduction of the whole team by coach Gary Smith. Gary Smith has been coaching NMP PCH HayaBusa for several years at the same time and is on his way to help defend the Belgian 4-way gold medals later this year. HayaBusa will try to win the FAI World Meet for the 3rd consecutive time. The NSL News had also posted an update from France after the first Coupe de France competition in May, which included the meet videos... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed impresses over and over again?
posted: Jul 3rd, 2018 I have to say I am impressed. It's not the first time I am impressed with Arizona Airspeed and that might be the point. It seems like they impress not only me, over and over again. We just completed the Shamrock Showdown 2018 at Skydive DeLand, which has been the first high-profile outdoor competition of every new year for a long time. Most of the best teams in the world travel to Florida to check out their performance status at the beginning of a new competition season. Arizona Airspeed has been using the Shamrock opportunity year by year to measure up with their U.S. opponents, which has... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech 4-way teams were again in 4-way indoor and outdoor meet action?
posted: Jul 2nd, 2018 The new outdoor leaderboard is already taking shape, while the missing June scores of the Indoor Cloud League are still coming in. The latest set of six Indoor Cloud League scores and videos from the Hurricane Factory were added to the 14+ leaderboard while teams in the Czech Republic were competing at their next outdoor meet in Most last weekend. Only HF Flying Circus scored for the Czech Republic on both indoor and outdoor leaderboards and added 45 points to the total of 124 ICL points for the Hurricane Factory. HF Cubs, the Czech national team in 4-way Junior, and Accord both took on June's... (more)
News Article Did you know that Belgium is an underdog for the Qatar Falcons?
posted: Jul 1st, 2018 The NSL News has introduced not only the teams who are medal contenders at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving, even though the race for the top positions are naturally a very attractive part of any competition. Some of the teams started from positions at world meets that were far away from the races for medals, and the reigning 4-way world champions from Belgium, NMP PCH HayaBusa, are a very real example for that. HayaBusa placed 6th at the team's first world meet in Croatia 2004, 33 points behind the bronze medal position and 49 points behind the winner, U.S. team DeLand Majik. 14... (more)
News Article Did you know that 4igamie and Shinobi made the same AAA Class move in different ways?
posted: Jun 29th, 2018 It was in the summer of 2014 when two of the Dutch AAA Class teams at the Tomscat Trophy 2018 competed with and against each other on the same leaderboard of an outdoor competition. 4igami and Shinobi have competed together in the Netherlands since 2012 and still had two very different roads until they ended up for the first time on a AAA Class leaderboard last weekend. They have in common that they moved up from the AA Class to the AAA Class at an outdoor competition this year, while even this step happened in different ways. 4igami tested the AAA Class dive pool for the first time at...
