Did you know that Sinapsi PD with Pete Allum is the new Italian 4-way champion? posted: Jul 29th, 2005 The NSL News completes the series of interviews after the Malevsky Cup 2005 with feedback provided by Pete Allum, team member of Italy's old and new national team, Sinapsi PD.
Sinapsi competed as a guest team in Russia, Pete Allum then traveled to Florida for a few days before the next event was up for his team, the Italian national championship. In the meantime, Sinapsi PD also attended the World Games in Germany with the same line-up that qualified for this event last year at the World Meet in Croatia. Did you know that the MESL July meet story comes along with a new round of MESL-TV? posted: Jul 28th, 2005 Just prior to the beginning of our 3rd meet of the Mideast Skydiving League 2005 season, MESL Director Randy Connell approached the assembled competitors with a request: on July 2nd, there was an incident at a drop zone that has been a huge supporter of the league since its inception. This incident resulted in one fatality and one severe injury.
In the aftermath, the drop zone involved has opened a trust fund for the children of the skydiver who was killed, and a health savings account for the skydiver who was injured. Both of these skydivers were known throughout the region and had competed... (more)
Did you know that more Black Magick is now on NSL-TV? posted: Jul 27th, 2005 The NSL-TV production is a little bit behind schedule. The NSL News story announcing the Malevsky Cup DVDs last week promised new NSL-TV very soon, first FSL then SSL footage.
There was a new round of NSL-TV next day, however, it covered the June meet of the Northern Plains Skydiving League. The NPSL DVD, provided by NPSL Director Sandy Grillet, became priority after weeks of waiting for NSL-TV attention.

Did you know that the Golden Knights join the 8-way competition? posted: Jul 27th, 2005 The NSL News posted an interview with Golden Knights team captain John Hoover with the story on July 21. The story included an evaluation of the 4-way situation after the Malevsky Cup 2005 and some insights of the Golden Knights 2005.
The NSL News and John Hoover discussed several other topics, as well. However, the NSL News had to promise to exclude certain topics until the August issue of the Skydiving Magazine would be published. John Hoover writes for the magazine on a regular basis and had prepared an update for the August issue.

Did you know that the MidAtlantic Skydiving League hosted the 4th annual Karp Cup last weekend? posted: Jul 26th, 2005 The MidAtlantic Skydiving League hosted the 4th annual Karp Cup at Cross Keys last Saturday in honor of former Jetstream member Seth Karp who lost his life in a landing accident in 2002. The MidAtlantic Skydiving League and Skydive Cross Keys joined forces in 2003 to create a larger East Coast 4-way event similar to the Shamrock Showdown of the Florida Skydiving League in DeLand and the Valentine's Meet of the Southwest Skydiving League in Eloy. Did you know that the Midwest Skydiving League dominates the A Class rankings? posted: Jul 25th, 2005 The Midwest Skydiving League kept its streak of four seasons without having a meet washed out alive Saturday by scheduling the right host DZ. While Skydive Chicago and Chicagoland Skydiving were grounded most of the day by bad weather, fortunately for the ten teams and meet coach, Airspeed's Eliana Rodriguez, the weather at Sky Knights SPC in southeast Wisconsin held up until a dangerous front finally pushed through in mid-afternoon, ending our meet but not before five rounds had been completed.
