Did you know that bad weather shortened the FSL meet at Skydive City? posted: Jun 27th, 2008 Last weekend's leaderboard shows a unique situation in the AAA Class field. Team Teiwaz appears two times on the same leaderboard, and coincidence places both lineups right next to each other.
This is not a mistake. Teiwaz actually competed with two different lineups at two different locations. Jim "Bu" Klinge, Rodney Cruce, Sean Sweeney and Kurt Gaebel competed at the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2008 in Raeford, while Derrick Thomas, Bruce Robertson, Bob Byrne and Dave Ruffell attended the June meet of the Florida Skydiving League at Skydive City.
Teiwaz in North Carolina had better luck with... (more)
Did you know that teams from the Netherlands swept the A Class leaderboard? posted: Jun 26th, 2008 The stongest showing of last weekend's numerous events in the USA and Europe came from the Netherlands where 4-way competition is on the same upswing that many other leagues are currently enjoying. The small European country had 23 teams competing at the annual Tomscat Trophy.
The national 4-way team Dynamic Fource finished in 8th position of the very strong 32-team AAA Class field with a 17.4 average. This first result in 2008 matches the team's highest average in August last year. Seven other Dutch teams competed in the AAA Class, as well, none of them new for the NSL News audience and on... Did you know that Round 2 was a more technical round with a slower sequence? posted: Jun 26th, 2008 The regular visitors of the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2008 page have probably already detected the new link to the NSL-TV page where the previously featured meet videos can be reviewed. The link to Round 1 on the leaderboard has already been replaced by the second round of last weekend's competition in Raeford. (more)
Did you know that the scores from the Mideast are coming along with new 4-way Tips? posted: Jun 25th, 2008 Last weekend's numerous 4-way events included the second meet of the Mideast Skydiving League. The scores from the Fastrax headquarters at Start Skydiving come along with a new article of John Hart's 4-way Tips.
Four teams competed at his new skydiving center near Cincinnati, and he and his former Fastrax teammate Niklas Hemlin were a part of the competition with the new team Wait & See. After leaving the US 8-way team KnightTrax John Hart made it his mission at Start Skydiving to bring up new skydivers and introduce them to 4-way competition, then take them up to a higher performance level.... Did you know that Hayabusa's 22.7 average came from a left-hand door? posted: Jun 25th, 2008 There are still a few scores missing of last weekend's 4-way competitions in the USA and Europe, and it is already a new participation record. 80 teams are currently listed on last weekend's leaderboard, which is significantly higher than at any other meet weekend in the NSL history.
However, it was not only a weekend of record participation. The quality of the international field and the scores were on a world-class level, as well. The field of 32 AAA Class teams included six national teams who will compete at the World Meet 2008, which begins in 45 days: Airspeed Odyssey (USA), Hayabusa Defence... (more)
Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey opened the meet with a very strong statement? posted: Jun 24th, 2008 The first meet videos of last weekend's outdoor competition at the Paraclete XP Money Meet 2008 have now been uploaded. They launch a new series of exciting NSL-TV videos.
The three top teams in Raeford, Airspeed Odyssey, Golden Knights and Perris Fury, posted world-class scores round by round.
Airspeed Odyssey jumped from the right-hand door of the Pilatus Porter and showed clearly that exits and subterminal moves are no issue any longer. The US national team posted five sole highscores, tied the highscores in three rounds and lost only two rounds compared to all teams currently on the AAA... (more)
