News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights re-visit a place of glory in 2007?
posted: Dec 22nd, 2006 The NSL News story on October 17 was posted in the middle of the USPA Nationals 2006 action and covered the strong comeback of the Golden Knights 4-way team. The Army team had changed the line-up earlier this year and sent 4-way veterans to Eloy in October (Eric Heinsheimer, Kurt Isenbarger, Brian Krause, Matt Davidson, Larry Miller on camera). The same story quoted team member Brian Krause with a preview of the near future: "We will have this team going full time in January 2007. We will start our winter training in February 2007 and finish it up with the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007. Eric is... (more)
News Article Did you know that John Eagle joins Arizona Directe for the 2007 season?
posted: Dec 21st, 2006 The 2006 season was very quiet for AZ Directe. In fact, the team did not attend any meets this year at all. The team name was mentioned only once when the NSL News story on March 4 announced that former AZ Directe member Brian Vande Krol handed over the Colorado Skydiving League management to Travis Roth. AZ Directe's 2005 line-up (Gary Beyer, Kirk Campbell, Courtney Frasch, Brian Vande Krol, Gordon Lindsay on camera) attended two meets of the Southwest Skydiving League 2005 (15.2 - 16.0) and finished in 14th position at the USPA Nationals 2005 with a 14.2 average. One of the team's SSL meet... (more)
News Article Did you know that two brandnew Fastrax jumps are now on NSL-TV?
posted: Dec 21st, 2006 This week's NSL News stories covered mostly the surprising personnel changes and events in the Airspeed Odyssey and Fastrax headquarters. Both teams are expected to be top contenders at any 4-way competition next year and at the next World Meet, as well. Thus, the special NSL News attention was not very surprising to the NSL audience. In fact, several requests for more information and recent videos underlined the relevance of the coverage. The NSL News created additional suspense after mentioning realistic chances for the showing of brandnew Fastrax training videos with the new line-up. (more)
News Article Did you know that three NSL-TV videos show Thomas Hughes in three different slots?
posted: Dec 19th, 2006 Good news for the NSL-TV audience. Team Fastrax will kindly provide footage of the first training camp in DeLand this week. Actually, the NSL News was mostly interested in the very first jump of the camp with Thomas Hughes in the new slot, and neither Fastrax nor Thomas Hughes had a problem with the request. However, there was no opportunity yet to dub the footage. The team was very busy today and completed 14 training jumps. The videos will most likely be available by tomorrow. The NSL News became even more interested in older footage of the new Fastrax member when it became obvious that... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new Fastrax line-up has begun with the training?
posted: Dec 18th, 2006 The NSL News story on December 14 broke the news that Mark Kirkby left Team Fastrax and moves back to Arizona. The next story on December 15 followed up with news from the Fastrax headquarters. Thomas Hughes had already committed to fill the open slot. The same story mentioned that Team Fastrax was on schedule with a training camp in DeLand this week. The NSL News planned to observe the first training with the new line-up. The camp did not begin exactly on time. Thick traffic on Interstate 4 delayed the arrival of John Hart, Niklas Hemlin and Steve Redinbo coming from Orlando International Airport. Doug... (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 8 opened the second day at the USPA Nationals 2006?
posted: Dec 17th, 2006 Round 7 was the last competition jump on the first day at the USPA Nationals 2006. Skydive Arizona's airlift machine had managed to push through the highest number of rounds on one day in USPA history. Not all teams and competitors were happy with the way it was done, as on-line feedback showed earlier. However, the calls came, and the teams had to board the planes, no matter what. NSL-TV now presents the usual four videos of Round 8, including the three winners of each competition class, DeLand Groove (AAA/Open), Arizona Divewerkz (AAA/Advanced) and Ranch Pulse (AA/Intermediate), plus the Perris...
