Did you know that the Mideast Skydivng League meets and greets skydivers in April?
posted: Jan 30th, 2008 The NSL News story on 7 January 2008 had introduced Mike Ashley as the new Mideast Skydiving League Director. The latest newsletter of MESL host Start Skydiving announced that the new MESL Director has already taken action on preparing the 2008 season for the skydiving community in the mideast region. Mike Ashley has plans for the first part of the 2008 season. (more)
Did you know that a passionate 4-way fan leads the Mideast Skydiving League in 2008?
posted: Jan 7th, 2008 The recent newsletter sent by StartSkydiving.com's manager, Kip Lohmiller, included a paragraph that brought great news to the 4-way community in the league's region: "Mr. Mike Ashley has taken control of the MESL! So Mike, John and I are looking for skydivers that want to train and play in the league. All licensed are welcome. For all the details please contact Mike Ashley. AND SPRED THE WORD AROUND TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!" Did you know that the "Gene is The Man Boogie" includes the first MESL 2007 meet?
posted: May 25th, 2007 The upcoming weekend will kick off the 2007 season at three different locations. The Ranch Skydiving League at the Blue Sky Ranch in Upstate New York is ready to send several teams into the races of the AAA Class and the AA Class. Christine Kelley has handed over the management of the league affairs to veteran skydiver and competitor Roger Cunha, who has prepared the league for the season opener. Roger Cunha competed in the Point position with Ranch Pulse last year. Did you know that several AA/Intermediate Class teams were in striking distance last weekend?
posted: Jul 19th, 2006 The third competition of the Mideast Skydiving League added two teams to the AA Class leaderboard last weekend. Mystic Rhythms and Vortex attended the MESL event that was scheduled to take place at Skydive Wayne County. The situation in Richmond turned out to be different than planned, and the small event was relocated to Skydive Greene County in Xenia, OH. MESL Director Randy Connell explained the reason: "Skydive Wayne County was the scheduled host DZ for this weekend's meet. Did you know that only two teams competed in Meet 2 of the Mideast Skydiving League?
posted: Jun 19th, 2006 Despite gorgeous weather, only two teams competed in Meet 2 of the Mideast Skydiving League held at Skydive Greensburg in Indiana. Team Fastrax was on the field but did not compete because the meet occurred during a hard-core training camp for them. They opted to continue their regular training routine, however, they made themselves available for some fabulous coaching as a show of support for the league. Did you know that the Mideast Skydiving League had a slow start into the 2006 season?
posted: May 25th, 2006 Last weekend's smallest meet was the season opener of the Mideast Skydiving League. MESL Director Randy Connell and the new MESL Communications Director Ed Lightle were both surprised when only two teams showed up at Skydive Greene County in Ohio on Saturday morning. The first MESL meet of the 2005 season was held on the same May weekend, and seven teams had attended the first competition of the year by then.
