News Article Did you know that the DeLand Falcons presented a special Crank in Round 4?
posted: Aug 21st, 2015 Last but not least, the Rookie Class teams from the Northwest and the Florida Skydiving League had their own battles last weekend, as well, and the Rookie Class leaderboard was actually the only one where each team claimed or tied a highscore for a round. NWSL team Low Key and FSL team DeLand Falcons were racing for the top spot on the leaderboard, while Ritzville Sundown (NWSL) and Group Therapy (FSL) eventually finished tied in 3rd place. Low Key was the only Rookie Class team who had attended a meet prior to last weekend's events this year and improved the meet average from 3.8 to 5.3... (more)
News Article Did you know that China's national 4-way team is in 2nd place of the AAA Class leaderboard?
posted: Jun 24th, 2015 Last weekend's leaderboard is the largest one of the 2015 season, disregarding the indoor scores of the World Challenge 2015. 61 teams used the same competition draw, and the A Class had the highest participation with 19 teams. The Sun Path Products NSL News still goes back one more time to the AAA Class competition, where the meet videos of winner Thunder ISR are the highlight of the coverage. Nine AAA Class teams completed between four (Florida) and ten (Midwest) rounds at four different locations last weekend. However, the rankings were hardly effected at all by the different numbers of... (more)
News Article Did you know that eight teams competed in Florida last weekend?
posted: May 18th, 2015 Eight teams attended the May meet of the Florida Skydiving League last weekend, which was hosted by Skydive City and Skydive DeLand. Three teams missed the meet (DeLand Momentum, DeLand Flashpoint, DeLand 3D), and the first 2-digit participation in years has to wait for the next opportunity in June. Teiwaz did not have any direct AAA Class competition in the absence of DeLand Momentum, and the DeLand Bees were the only Rookie Class team. However, the Bees still posted the team's highest meet average in team history and beat their own previous highscore for a round (6) three times. The first... (more)
News Article Did you know that two new DeLand teams are on the road to the USPA Nationals?
posted: Apr 17th, 2015 The three teams from Florida who competed last weekend staid away from each other and signed up for three different categories. Both DeLand teams had made their plans for the 2015 season earlier, which include the USPA Nationals. DeLand Momentum will compete in the AAA/Advanced Class, while DeLand Flashpoint trains for the AA/Intermediate Class competition in Eloy. Purple HaZe competed in the AA Class of the Florida Skydiving League 2014 and came back in the A Class this year with a slightly different lineup. Former ZEUS member John Stares is now in the Tail slot for Purple HaZe, and the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airbus and Remscheid had to accept a slow start into the 2015 competition season?
posted: Apr 14th, 2015 Two tired German teams were confronted with a challenging competition draw last weekend at the April meet of the Florida Skydiving League in DeLand. The two lineups of Airbus and Remscheid consist of some of the most experienced 4-way and 8-way competitors in Germany. Airbus is the reigning German 4-way champion who won last year's national championships with the same lineup and a 19.2 average. Three of Remscheid's current members (Uli Sehrbrock, Steffen Schiedeck, Kai Wolf) competed with Mike Vetter at last year's national championships, where they were tied in 2nd place behind Airbus before... News Article Did you know that Florida teams challenged each other last weekend at Skydive City?
posted: Oct 23rd, 2014 The Florida Skydiving League concluded the 2014 season together with the Northern California Skydiving League last weekend, and two of the three competition classes had teams from both leagues mixed up. Florida was busy in the AA Class, while Northern California had the strongest showing in the Rookie Class. Safeish (AA) and Counterpoint FX (A) both posted their highest meet averages of the 2014 season in California, as well as ZHills TranZend did in Florida. Teiwaz and DeLand 3D finished on the top of their leaderboards without scoring higher compared to previous meets this year. Both winners... (more)
