The drop zone was very busy on all three meet days. Spectators had called the NSL office and the drop zone management all day long on Friday, Saturday and Sunday asking for information about the event. However, now it is about time to look at the Shamrock Showdown from the skydiver's point of view.

Did you know that Simba posted new A Class record average and single-round highscore? posted: Jun 21st, 2016 Last weekend's outdoor meet of the Florida Skydiving League brought back Simba to Skydive DeLand. Simba attended the team's second meet this year after the 2016 start at the May competition.
Florida's summer weather allowed only the completion of four rounds this time, as the usual rain and thunder storms in the afternoon interfered with the skydiving operation. Simba had completed all six rounds in May.
It was exactly the same Simba roster that came back last weekend and finished with a new outdoor team record average and a new highscore for a single round. Simba had posted a 15-pointer... (more)
Did you know that Z-Hills PreciZion's scores last weekend are misleading? posted: Jun 20th, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on March 27th how Z-Hills PreciZion from Skydive City in Florida helped iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team to add some points to the March account.
PreciZion's Tail Jimmy Xu also attended a few additional ICL events at iFLY Orlando and scored several times with other lineups.
Three of his team mates (Erica Gorski, Rebecca Maureen Ugo, Grant Underland) used to be regulars at iFLY Orlando's ICL events, as well, before they formed Z-Hills PreciZion, hired Sally Hathaway as a player coach and focused primarily on their team training.

Did you know that the DeLand Falcons were facing good and bad news within a week? posted: Oct 19th, 2015 Teams of the Florida Skydiving League finished off their 2015 season at the last meet on October 10th.
It's not the last 4-way competition in Florida, as the annual NSL Championship brings together all teams in all four categories (AAA - AA - A - Rookie) who have not had enough of 4-way competition this year and want to enjoy the beautiful Florida fall weather in a 10-round meet.
Several of the FSL teams will come back to DeLand in November, including the October winners, DeLand 3D and DeLand Falcons, and try to defend the home turf against any potential challengers from other leagues and... (more)
Did you know that the DeLand Bees had to pull out after Round 1? posted: Sep 23rd, 2015 Last weekend's leaderboard was supposed to be larger, as the Northwest Skydiving League had scheduled the last meet of the 2015 season for the same date as the Florida Skydiving League's September meet. NWSL Director Deb Correia had bad luck with the weather at the end of the 2015 season: "The NWSL was weathered out all weekend with low clouds on Saturday and winds in the 30s on Sunday."
