News Article Did you know that the Chicagoland Skydiving Center has been hosting MWSL/NSL meets for 11 consecutive years?
posted: Jul 22nd, 2009 The July meet of the Midwest Skydiving League 2009 season was definitely a case of quality over quantity. A lousy, but accurate, forecast kept participation at the year's first meet at Chicagoland Skydiving down. In fact, a trend of unjumpable weather has plagued the Midwest all season. However, four teams, including AAA Class top team SDC Rhythm XP, came out to see if they could get some jumps in anyway. In the end, each team was able to complete three rounds before the blue sky between the clouds also turned into more clouds. Each team still got the most out of the limited air time. SDC... (more)
News Article Did you know that new NSL-TV videos include SDC Rhythm XP's first two outdoor rounds?
posted: Jul 1st, 2009 Meet videos from the Midwest Skydiving League's season opener on June 20 have arrived at the NSL News office and have been uploaded. The videos of Round 1 feature all seven MWSL teams that competed that weekend at Skydive Chicago. One MWSL team received additional attention, as the NSL News has covered the steep team career of SDC Rhythm XP already quite a few times. However, no current videos of the US shooting star have been available until MWSL Director Alan Butt provided the footage of the MWSL season opener. The first uploaded videos feature SDC Rhythm XP at the end of the video file,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the MWSL season opener had a mix of old and new teams?
posted: Jun 22nd, 2009 The NSL News story on 17 June 2009 provided a preview of the Midwest Skydiving League's 2009 season opener and introduced the MWSL AAA Class teams SDC Rhythm XP and SDC Furies XP. The meet was successfully completed at Skydive Chicago last weekend, despite some weather problems. SDC Rhythm XP lived up to the high expectations and posted a 16.8 average after six rounds. Only the Dutch national team, Dynamic Fource, outscored the USPA Advanced Class champion of 2008 by two single points. The scores of 22 AAA Class teams are posted so far. The Furies did not compete on their home turf, but six... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP will challenge Mass Defiance's record average this year?
posted: Jun 17th, 2009 The upcoming meet weekend is another very busy one and will probably even challenge the new record numbers of the May 23 weekend, always depending on the weather, of course. One of the nine scheduled meets is the season opener of the Midwest Skydiving League. MWSL Director Alan Butt is guiding teams and competitors into its 11th year without interruption in the NSL Network. As in the past years, he introduces the MWSL teams that he already knows of. On the very top of 4-way competition in the Midwest region is SDC Rhythm XP, USPA's AAA/Advanced Class winner of 2008. The Rhythm 2009 lineup, with... (more)
News Article Did you know that a new Rhythm video shows the new lineup flying in the tunnel?
posted: Jan 30th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 5 November 2008 (Archives > 2008 > News > Search for "Rhythm") that last year's USPA 4-way champion in the Advanced Class, CSC Rhythm XP, was looking for a new Center Inside. The story on 18 December 2008 followed up on the topic and introduced the new team member, Rob Radez. The same story also mentioned that the team name had changed to SDC Rhythm XP, as Skydive Chicago has become the new home turf for Rhythm. The training with the new Center Inside has started, and the three original Rhythm members, Laurent Beaudouin (Tail), JaNette Lefkowitz (Center Outside), Steve... (more)
News Article Did you know that CSC Rhythm XP's MWSL record jump on NSL-TV wraps up the Midwest 2008 season?
posted: Aug 30th, 2008 Most of the 2008 skydiving season of the Midwest Skydiving League has been plagued by awful weather. But August has mostly been beautiful with very un-Augustlike comfortable temperatures and low humidities. However, Saturday started out very much like August with high temperatures and tons of humidity presenting our six teams with challenging jumping conditions. But Meet 4, our final meet of the season, still started on time at Skydive Chicago. While AAA Class team CSC Rhythm XP and AA Class team Just4Fun each had local competition at their last two meets, today both would be the sole MWSL representatives... (more)
