posted: Jun 17th, 2009 The upcoming meet weekend is another very busy one and will probably even challenge the new record numbers of the May 23 weekend, always depending on the weather, of course. One of the nine scheduled meets is the season opener of the Midwest Skydiving League. MWSL Director Alan Butt is guiding teams and competitors into its 11th year without interruption in the NSL Network. As in the past years, he introduces the MWSL teams that he already knows of. Did you know that a new Rhythm video shows the new lineup flying in the tunnel?
posted: Jan 30th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 5 November 2008 (Archives > 2008 > News > Search for "Rhythm") that last year's USPA 4-way champion in the Advanced Class, CSC Rhythm XP, was looking for a new Center Inside. The story on 18 December 2008 followed up on the topic and introduced the new team member, Rob Radez. The same story also mentioned that the team name had changed to SDC Rhythm XP, as Skydive Chicago has become the new home turf for Rhythm. Did you know that CSC Rhythm XP's MWSL record jump on NSL-TV wraps up the Midwest 2008 season?
posted: Aug 30th, 2008 Most of the 2008 skydiving season of the Midwest Skydiving League has been plagued by awful weather. But August has mostly been beautiful with very un-Augustlike comfortable temperatures and low humidities. However, Saturday started out very much like August with high temperatures and tons of humidity presenting our six teams with challenging jumping conditions. But Meet 4, our final meet of the season, still started on time at Skydive Chicago. While AAA Class team CSC Rhythm XP and AA Class team Just4Fun each had local competition at their last two meets, today both would be the sole MWSL representatives... (more)

Did you know that CSC Rhythm XP set new MWSL records last weekend?
posted: Jul 31st, 2008 The Midwestern weather thus far in 2008 has been the worst for skydivers in at least fifteen years, but that trend abated for us Saturday, and Meet 3 took place under nearly ideal conditions. The weather was not the only thing that improved dramatically from the June meet. We had five teams returning for the competition at Chicagoland Skydiving, and every one of them significantly improved their scores from June. The meet would also benefit from the presence of well known 4-way expert Kirk Verner. In the AAA Class we again had the two best known MWSL teams: SDC Furies and CSC Rhythm XP. Rhythm... (more)

Did you know that the Midwest is producing a new top team?
posted: Jul 1st, 2008 It is probably the first time in the history of the Midwest Skydiving League that a team from this region is holding the top position of the AAA Class leaderboard with an international field. CSC Rhythm XP is currently in 1st place of ten teams with a 15.0 average. Brian Ball (Center Inside), Laurent Beaudouin (Tail), Janette Lefkowitz (Center Outside), Steve Lefkowitz (Point) and Kevin Naftzger (Camera) were already very close to the same spot on the May 31 weekend when 13 teams competed in an international field of AAA Class teams. posted: Jun 9th, 2008 Last Saturday marked the 2008 season opener for the Midwestern Skydiving League and, as often is the case this time of year, the weather was not yet ready to fully cooperate. Despite a forecast of a windy day, three teams came out to Chicagoland Skydiving to see if we could get the MWSL 2008 season opener in. CSC Rhythm XP, a nationally ranked "weekend" team, represented the MWSL in the AAA Class. There were also two A Class teams: 2007 veterans SDC On The Fly who returned with their roster intact and new team Victory Hop.
