posted: Jul 25th, 2005 The Midwest Skydiving League kept its streak of four seasons without having a meet washed out alive Saturday by scheduling the right host DZ. While Skydive Chicago and Chicagoland Skydiving were grounded most of the day by bad weather, fortunately for the ten teams and meet coach, Airspeed's Eliana Rodriguez, the weather at Sky Knights SPC in southeast Wisconsin held up until a dangerous front finally pushed through in mid-afternoon, ending our meet but not before five rounds had been completed. News Article Did you know that the Midwest Skydiving League had record participation and record scores?
posted: Jun 21st, 2005 At the May 23 meet the MWSL took part in the new NSL record of 81 teams participating in a single weekend. This past Saturday the MWSL set its own record when a total of 10 teams came to compete at Meet 2 at Chicagoland Skydiving Center. The MWSL's streak of good meet weather continued as Saturday was a virtually perfect day for jumping in the Midwest, a rarity in 2005. News Article Did you know that the scores of 61 teams and the first meet story are already posted?
posted: May 23rd, 2005 The past weekend turns out to offer as many scores and much information as it could be expected. Around noon on Monday, a total of 61 teams was already listed in the scoring table, with the teams of several leagues still not on the board yet. The first meet story of the Midwest Skydiving League competition at Skydive Chicago follows below. There comes a lot of additional information with the scores. News Article Did you know that new MWSL competitor Laurent Beaudouin won SkyVenture Orlando tunnel time on Safety Day?
posted: Apr 1st, 2005 Laurent Beaudouin is the lucky winner of a SkyVenture Orlando certificate, which was solicited by Midwest Skydiving League Director Alan Butt. Chicagoland Skydiving, one of the Midwest Skydiving League hosts, organized a Safety Day event this year at the skydiving center in Hinckley, Illinois, and the MWSL Director provided the SkyVenture prize for the event raffle. News Article Did you know that Eliana Rodriguez will visit the Midwest Skydiving League meet in July?
posted: Mar 28th, 2005 The Midwest Skydiving League season launches its 2005 season with the season opener on May 21 at Skydive Chicago. The professional skydiving center in Ottawa and Chicagoland Skydiving in Hinckly are both hosting two of the five MWSL meets this year. The third meet of the MWSL 2005 schedule will be hosted by the Sky Knights Sport Parachute Club in Wisconsin on July 23. The Sky Knights management has recently finalized a special incentive for this July event. News Article Did you know that the Midwest Skydiving League Rookies Class teams had a sensational competition at the playoffs?
posted: Sep 15th, 2004 The fifth and final MWSL meet of the 2004 season took place last weekend under perfect skydiving conditions at Chicagoland Skydiving Center in Hinckley, IL. Six teams, five of whom had attended every MWSL meet this season, competed for off-season bragging rights, prizes and the opportunity to compete in the NSL Championships at SkyQuest 2004. In a format new for 2004, this event was a “meet within a meet”. Through the first six rounds, the teams were not only putting up scores for MWSL meet 5, but also for the NSL Playoffs 2004.
