posted Aug 10th, 2026 - The four Norwegian AAA Class teams eventually completed all ten rounds at their national outdoor championship last week. Nothing changed in the rankings after the first NSL News update on August 6th, and the country’s national teams in 4-way Open, Agera Oceanside, and 4-way Women, Thyra, now have ten weeks to prepare for the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026.

Agera will continue the preparations with the same lineup, while Thyra will bring original team member Christiane Wilhelmine Sørfjord Tuv back into the active lineup as soon as possible. NFTO member Sian Stokes was only helping to fill the open slot at the national outdoor championship, while Ditta Valsdottir will stay on, as the NSL News also reported on August 6th.

The potential of the young Norwegian 4-way Women team has not yet translated into the expected results, as unexpected obstacles and the resulting lineup changes have prevented Thyra from maintaining consistent training and progression. However, the two youngest and newest team members, Vilde Hansen and Arlene Kvarevål Storebø, had another opportunity to gain valuable competition experience alongside the two highly experienced 4-way competitors, Ditta Valsdottir and Sian Stokes, throughout all ten rounds of the national outdoor championship. Christiane Wilhelmine Sørfjord Tuv will complete her school exams later this week and then return fully to her outside center slot, where she works together with Ditta Valsdottir.

Thyra at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026

The full potential of the current lineup was actually on display at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, where Thyra finished only four points (233–229) behind British 4-way Women and former world champion team NFTO. Ditta Valsdottir once again replaces Silvana Disch as the inside center, while Vilde Hansen and Arlene Kvarevål Storebø fill the point and tail slots they flew at Weembi Lille in April.

Thyra’s 3rd-place finish with a heavily substituted lineup at the national outdoor championship was not a big surprise, as CASK, in 2nd place, was an experienced 4-way team with well-trained competitors in the lineup. They had already won and tied several rounds against Thyra with the same lineup at the national indoor championship in March this year.

Camilla Marnor and Alice Solberg both trained and competed with Thyra in 2023 and 2024 but did not continue with Norway’s national 4-way Women team after the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024, where Ditta Valsdottir had to step in for Silvana Disch at very short notice. Thyra had only one day of training with the substitute at Crystal Coast before entering Round 1 with new inside center Ditta Valsdottir.

CASK - Thyra at the Norwegian Outdoor Nationals 2026

CASK’s Kristoffer Thorstensen was one of Agera’s original members in 2019. He trained and competed with Agera until the national outdoor championship in 2022. Then he missed the outdoor world championship later the same year when his team was already on the way to the airport for the last training camp before the world meet at Skydive DeLand. He could not find his passport and was unable to follow through with the planned travel arrangements.

Nadia Jorgenrud, Julian Frayne, Kjetil Viste Levik, and team videographer Kristoffer Overli Andersen took off for Florida, hoping that Kristoffer Thorstensen would find his passport and join them at Skydive DeLand. They trained with a different substitute, as coach Solly Williams was unavailable while recovering from knee surgery, and DeLand Norgies’ Carl-Erik Tuv was preparing to return to his tail slot at the outdoor world championship in Eloy.

Kristoffer Thorstensen did not return to Agera in 2023, and Amund Meyer took over the tail slot. Kristoffer Thorstensen is now back in 4-way action with CASK, with Ståle Øisang completing the lineup and Robin Igelkjøn on camera. Ståle Øisang was not new to 4-way competition, either. He was part of the AAA Class lineup of First Choice at last year’s national outdoor championship, alongside former Thyra member Alice Solberg.
