The NSL News preview leaderboards also remained unchanged until August 2nd, shortly after Sweden’s Echochamber made a strong start to the 2026 outdoor season at a competition in Gryttjom. The strongest teams from Norway, Agera Oceanside, and Italy, Amnesya FLY X, have now posted their first outdoor scores of the year. However, the NSL Power Rankings will remain unchanged, at least until Monday. NMP PCH HayaBusa coach Gary Smith, who is currently working with the German national 4-way Open Class team, Airbus Illertissen, will take a closer look at the current situation on Monday. That is when adjustments to the NSL News leaderboards
may be made.
The NSL Power Rankings are nothing more or less than “speculative predictions” of the expected leaderboard positions, as Arizona Airspeed team captain Joey Marshall accurately described them during an NSL Live Talk conversation. However, the information provided to the NSL News still serves as the factual foundation for the NSL Power Rankings.

The main challenge in generating this leaderboard is that the scoring numbers are mostly based on different competition draws. Only the scores of teams that competed at the same event can be compared directly, such as those of Golden Knights and NMP PCH HayaBusa at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2026. The other meet averages are hard data as well, but they require interpretation—or “speculative
predictions”—to generate the NSL Power Rankings.
The current world rankings leaderboard shows the best meet averages of the national 4-way Open Class teams in the Top 10 positions. All of these teams are also expected to travel to Arizona in October, where they will compete using the same competition draw, at the same place and time. They can also be found in the NSL Power Rankings, which date back to the first edition published on May 7th.
The different timing of the posted scores also needs to be considered when creating the “speculative predictions” for the NSL Power Rankings. More scoring numbers are still coming and will be added to the database. National championships are still to come in the United States, France, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium,
the Czech Republic, and Spain. The latest numbers will change the world rankings and, consequently, the NSL Power Rankings.
The two top contenders for the FAI medals in Eloy, Golden Knights and NMP PCH HayaBusa, are beginning their final approach to the outdoor world championship together at the military CISM World Championship this month. The results will have no impact on the world rankings. However, the scores and the outcome of the CISM duel in Slovakia could provide a preview of the next showdown in Eloy—and could change the NSL Power Rankings as well.
