posted Aug 3rd, 2026 - Brazil's 4-way and 8-way teams completed their national outdoor championships on the same weekend that Echochamber Oceanside and an A Class team from Sweden concluded their competition in Gryttjom. Lineups from Brazil's Netunos Navy delegation won both events, and the 4-way team will most likely meet Echochamber at Skydive Arizona in October at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026.

Sweden has registered only a team in 4-way Open, and the Netunos 8-way team will therefore not face any Scandinavian opposition. The Netunos 4-way team claimed its third consecutive national championship title for Brazil's Navy delegation, and the complete lineup—or at least several of the team members—is expected to pull double duty in both the 4-way and 8-way events at the outdoor world championship.

INIT-Y represented Brazil at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022 before the Netunos 4-way team took over the country's top position and represented Brazil at Crystal Coast 2024. They successfully defended their national title in 2025 and will once again represent Brazil in Eloy after claiming their third consecutive 4-way championship in July with a new outdoor team record average of 17.0.

Netunos 4-way at the Brazilian Outdoor Nationals 2026

The Netunos 4-way lineup already has experience with competing in both 4-way and 8-way at the same event. They handled the double duties at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 in April, competing under the name Brazil Blue at Weembi Lille, where another Brazilian 4-way team, Gen XYZ, finished ahead of them in the 4-way Open Class.

They also competed in both 4-way and 8-way at Crystal Coast 2024 before the Netunos delegation traveled to the Netherlands last year for the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025. Unfortunately, both Netunos teams had to withdraw from their events at the competition site, as the NSL News reported on 11 September 2025.

The same update also included an additional leaderboard featuring the Netunos 8-way team as a guest entry after new Arizona Airspeed member Alisson de Vargas was able to fill the vacant slot unofficially. The Netunos teams will return to the official FAI leaderboards in October, and the 4-way lineup will once again compete in both 4-way and 8-way—this time on Alisson de Vargas' new home turf in Eloy.

Alisson de Vargas will not compete in Eloy, as the Golden Knights will represent the United States in 4-way Open this time. Instead, his new team will attempt to challenge the U.S. Army lineup for the national 4-way title one month before the outdoor world championship. Qualification for the next FAI Outdoor World Championship in 2028 will take place at the USPA Nationals 2027.

The Netunos 8-way team may have a unique opportunity in Eloy this year. A place in the 8-way medal rankings could be within reach, as neither France nor Qatar has registered an 8-way team so far, while Russian teams are still absent from FAI competitions. Based on this year's scoring performances, only Paraclete XP8 and Germany's Operation Adler appear to be out of reach.

The Netunos' new outdoor team record average in 4-way at the national championship in July prompted an adjustment to the NSL Power Rankings. They are now projected to battle South Africa's Savolo and Flyspot Sky4Four if the Polish team registers for the outdoor world championship. The teams expected to compete for the Top 10 positions will probably remain out of reach for Netunos while they are handling double duties in both 4-way and 8-way.
