posted Aug 2nd, 2026 - Echochamber's strong start to the 2026 outdoor season was both promising and important for maintaining their position in the NSL Power Rankings for the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026. Yesterday's related NSL News article, which provided details of Echochamber's performance at the competition in Gryttjom, also reviewed the exciting battle for the position as the highest-ranked national 4-way team outside the medal contenders.

Skywalkers Most (CZ), Echochamber (SE), and Agera (NO) were separated by just two points after Round 10 (196 - 195 - 194) at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, and the same three teams are expected to renew that battle at Skydive Arizona in October. Based on the available results this season, Echochamber appear to be the strongest contender at the moment.

The Czech winners of the same battle at Skydive Teuge in August 2025 opened their own 2026 outdoor season with a 17.4 average in July. However, the NSL News did not update the NSL Power Rankings despite Echochamber's significantly higher scoring average, as explained in the July 22nd update. Skywalkers Most have another outdoor competition scheduled for the end of August, where they will defend their title as Czech 4-way outdoor champions. They are expected to return to the same scoring level—or even higher—that they demonstrated in July 2026 at the competition on their home turf in Most.

Skywalkers Most - Echochamber - Agera at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025

Most likely, the battle among the contenders for this year's unofficial amateur title at the outdoor world championship will take place at the 20+ scoring level, as all teams in this group have had more than a full year to improve their performance since the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025.

Norway's Agera Oceanside have not posted any indoor or outdoor scores since last year's competition at Skydive Teuge. Like Germany's Airbus 4-way Illertissen, Agera did not attend the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 at Weembi Lille in April, where Skywalkers Most successfully defended their position as the world's fourth-ranked 4-way indoor team. However, both Germany and Norway have their national outdoor championships scheduled for this month. By the end of August, all leading contenders for fourth place in Eloy will have revealed their starting point for the final stage of preparations for the outdoor world championship.

Germany's Airbus 4-way Illertissen did not even compete at last year's outdoor world cup, but they posted a 17.8 average at the Paranodon Cup 2026 in June. Like Skywalkers Most, they are expected to score significantly higher at their national outdoor championship later this month.
