posted Jul 22nd, 2026 - The four Czech and three German teams all completed five rounds last weekend. The opening five rounds of the competition brought eleven blocks for the two AAA Class teams, Skywalkers Most and M Team. Each sequence included at least two blocks, and scoring opportunities were relatively limited.

The remaining five rounds of the competition offered more favorable scoring opportunities, beginning with Block 1 (Molar - Molar) and three random formations (A, E, M) in Round 6. Only the sequence in Round 10 (22, 19, 17) would have slowed the scoring pace again at the very end.

Skywalkers Most still managed to post a 17.3 average after the first five rounds, which concluded their first training week of the year. As previously reported by the NSL News, the team members were also busy coaching and player-coaching a group of young Czech and German skydivers who are just beginning their potential 4-way careers. At the same time, Skywalkers Most were transitioning from winter training in indoor wind tunnels to jumping from aircraft at their home drop zone.

Exits from the PAC 750XL in Most made it even more challenging to match the Skywalkers' previous competition averages. This time, the Czech national 4-way team used a Meeker (E) as the standard exit formation from the PAC to build the opening formation of each sequence. Only Block 18 (Zircon - Zircon) exited the aircraft as an almost complete formation.

Skywalkers Most and M Team both matched their respective performance levels from last year's national outdoor championship almost exactly. It was the week before Skywalkers Most competed in the next Round 1 of the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 when they finished with a 17.2 average in Prostejov. They then followed up with an impressive 19.6 average and a 6th-place finish at Skydive Teuge.

The timeline is different this year. Skywalkers began at the 15+ level in July last year, improved to a 17.2 average in August, and then reached 19.6 at the outdoor world cup a week later. This year, their 17.4 average after five relatively slow rounds last weekend marks their outdoor starting point. Once again, the national outdoor championship is scheduled for next month, and scoring is expected to increase after all ten rounds.

The biggest difference, however, is the time available afterward. Last year, Skywalkers Most had to travel from Most to Teuge immediately after the national championship to be ready for the next Round 1. This year, they have seven weeks of training before Round 1 of the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026 at Skydive Arizona, where Twin Otters will be the jump aircraft in Eloy. It is easy to underestimate the significance of last weekend's 17.4 average. However, the NSL Power Rankings, which currently project the Czech team to finish in 4th place, will remain unchanged—at least for the time being.
