posted May 18th, 2026 - The NSL News covered the Swiss 4-way Women rivalry between Airdrops and WingX at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 extensively on May 3rd. The one-point difference after ten rounds was hardly unusual for two teams that have been competing closely against each other for several years.

Their latest showdown had taken place only shortly before they met again at Weembi Lille for another ten-round battle. The previous duel, at the national indoor championship, had been scheduled for seven rounds and ended with a two-point margin (146–144) in favor of Airdrops.

The third Swiss 4-way team at Weembi Lille, Airows, did not truly have a home category at the FAI Indoor World Cup. In previous years, 4-way junior teams competed using the reduced dive pool and shorter sequences of the AA/Intermediate Class in the 4-way Junior category at FAI/ISC events. However, after the category was discontinued, the mixed-gender lineup of Airows was left with only the AAA/4-way Open Class option for registration at the FAI Indoor World Cup. Meanwhile, Airdrops and WingX had the smaller 4-way Women field available for the latest chapter of their Swiss rivalry.

Airdrops - WingX - Airows at the Swiss Indoor Nationals 2026

The same three teams were closely grouped once again on the leaderboard at Switzerland’s national indoor championship at the end of March. The seven-round competition marked the first AAA Class event for the 4-way juniors, who then had two additional months of training before traveling to France for the FAI Indoor World Cup. The junior team was now competing with the same AAA Class dive pool as Airdrops and WingX, even though the FAI/ISC categories still separated them from the other two Swiss teams.

The leaderboard at the Swiss Indoor Championship did not only feature another duel between Airdrops and WingX. At the top of the standings, it also showcased a matchup that would not have been possible at FAI/ISC events, as Skynamite and Airheads faced each other for the third time since March 2024.

The two teams are directly connected through Swiss 4-way competitor Marco Keller, who has been competing with Skynamite (Katharina Reiß, Sylvia Schlaphof, Yasmin Schütte) since 2023 while also flying with Airheads. Marco Keller once again handled double duties, while the Swiss Airheads team had no plans to qualify as the national team for any FAI/ISC event. The Airheads CISM team had previously represented Switzerland in the 4-way Open Class at FAI/ISC events before discontinuing after finishing 5th with a 29.2 average at the FAI Indoor World Championship. However, the team has continued to compete at the national indoor championships ever since and has won most of those events.

Skynamite - Airheads at the Swiss Indoor Nationals 2026

Just as Marco Keller of Airheads was a former member of the Swiss national team in 4-way Open, three members of Skynamite previously represented Germany in 4-way Women, most recently at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022. Sylvia Schlaphof and Yasmin Schütte were also part of the German lineup at the same event where Marco Keller impressed with the Swiss 4-way Open Class team.

Marco Keller eventually joined Skynamite after Shaline Dincher left the team in 2023 to become part of the new German Airbus 8-way lineup. The goal was to defend the FAI 8-way bronze medals won by the previous Airbus team in Eloy 2022. However, Airbus lost the qualification battle against Operation Adler at the German Outdoor Nationals 2023. Shaline Dincher nevertheless continued with the Airbus 8-way team and later won the European 8-way gold medal at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025.

Katharina Reiß, Sylvia Schlaphof, and Yasmin Schütte are now in their sixth year together, including the last four years with Marco Keller in the lineup. This year’s Swiss Indoor Nationals marked the first time that Marco Keller defeated his own Airheads teammates, and the current Skynamite lineup needed a new team record average of 23.4 to achieve it. Neither Airheads nor Skynamite planned to attend the FAI Indoor World Cup, where Switzerland was instead represented by Airdrops, WingX, and Airows. The ranking order of the three Swiss teams remained the same as in March, while the one-point battle in the 4-way Women category at Weembi Lille proved even more exciting.
