Did You Know...

... that the World Tunnel League competition continues during the Czech summer break?

4-way outdoor summer season in Most, Czech Republic
posted Jul 10th, 2018 - The World Tunnel League had another edition in June, even without the Czech 4-way teams who have their indoor summer break to focus on outdoor competition.

The Czech 4-way juniors, who are not jumping from planes yet, still have the Indoor Cloud League events to measure up their performances with other teams. Some of the outdoor teams still join forces with the 4-way juniors for the Hurricane Factory to remain competitive on the ICL 14+ leaderboard.

The teams on the WTL June leaderboard completed their June rounds at three different locations. Arizona FM followed the Airspeed trail and completed ten rounds at Paraclete XP after the U.S. national 4-way team was done with the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2018. Niklas Hemlin and Mikhail Markine were in the FM lineup this time, as the NSL News had reported on 20 June 2018.

Ian Pedowitz and Jimmy Xu are out of reach for the other U.S. teams when they join forces with two Airspeed player coaches. They go back to their other slots in the same role, together with Alex Jordaan, for their 4-way project with Amer Kassas and SCZ ZEUS at Skydive City in Zephyrhills.

Kickers 2.0 lineup at the WTL June meet
Ian Pedowitz and Jimmy Xu also go back to their roots when they post their scores on the World Tunnel League leaderboard.

Ian Pedowitz grew up in 4-way at the indoor events of the Northern California Skydiving League, while Jimmy Xu did the same on the east coast at the Florida Skydiving League indoor events.

In fact, the complete SCZ ZEUS lineup split up into two pieces for the WTL June competition.

Ian Pedowitz and Jimmy Xu were back for their ten Arizona FM rounds at Paraclete XP, while Amer Kassas and Alex Jordaan had their own lineup at the WTL event in Tampa. Emily Bombardi and Leslie Eggenberger were in this SCZ ZEUS 2.6 lineup for the June meet.

NCSL team Cali4nia Raptors had an exciting 6-round battle with another flexible lineup in Florida, the 2.0 version of the Kickers. Alex Jordaan, member of South Africa's national 4-way team Savolo, used his visit in Florida to the full extent and also teamed up with Leslie Eggenberger, James Hall and Sebastian Jimenex for a second lineup.

Z-Hills Tunnel L/D lineup at the WTL June meet
Kickers 2.0 and Cali4nia Raptors were separated by only three points after Round 6, which was the last round for the NCSL teams in the 12+ flying chamber of iFLY SF Bay. The Florida teams also completed the additional four rounds with sequences for 14+ flying chambers.

The Kickers were actually one point ahead going into Round 6 with the fastest sequence (F,17,H,O) of the draw. The well trained Cali4nia Raptors took advantage of the slot-switching sequence and turned the table in the last minute with a 4-point advantage in Round 6.

The rankings on the adjusted leaderboard after the six rounds that all teams completed changed only in the AA Class where Z-Hills Tunnel L/D was four points ahead of Err Speed after Round 6.

4Tune won with a significantly increased team record average (14.2 - 18.0) and a new lineup with Eric Gin. It was the first WTL meet for the former Fastrax member who recently launched his 4-way comeback, as the NSL News reported on 5 July 2018. SCZ FurtheranZe XP, with Bob Byrne and Kanishka Perera now in the AA Class competition of 2018, had a new June lineup, as well, and finished ten points behind the AA Class winner.
