Did You Know...

... that four teams posted world class Indoor Cloud League scores for April's AAA Class sequence?

U.S. national 4-way team in 4-way Women: Phoenix XP
posted May 7th, 2018 - Both Indoor Cloud League leaderboards of the April competition are complete. There were interesting battles and unique situations all across the 14+ leaderboard, as well, after the NSL News update on 4 May 2018 pointed out the very close competition on the 12+ leaderboard.

It was not only the actual Indoor Cloud League leaderboard that is featuring all kind of special situations by itself alone, such as the 111 - 111 tie between iFLY Seattle and iFLY Tampa, or the first Czech victory over Paraclete XP this year.

There was also a serious competition for the highest AAA Class score between four well known teams, competing for four different Indoor Cloud League groups.

The U.S. national team in 4-way Women, Phoenix XP, happened to be at Paraclete in Raeford for a training weekend, and they performed the AAA and AA Class sequences both for Paraclete XP's ICL team, while HF Flying Circus collected ICL points for the same two sequences at the Hurricane Factory in the Czech Republic.

The complete Dallas 350 lineup then posted the 21-pointer for the AAA Class sequence at iFLY Dallas as the third well trained team in the two highest categories (AAA - AA), which can both we drawn at any FAI/IPC 4-way Open Class competition.

Phoenix XP training at Paraclete in April
HF Flying Circus, who have usually placed behind HF Bad Boys and HF Chicks, posted the highest Czech AAA and AA scores for the month of April this time, and they also won the AAA Class competition over the two U.S. teams.

The competition between Dallas 350 and Phoenix XP was just as interesting as the whole Indoor Cloud League April competition was. The NSL News had explained the relationship between both U.S. teams during the aftermath of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2018 with the story on 8 March 2018.

Dallas 350 and Phoenix XP now met again, this time for only one AAA Class sequence and on April's 14+ leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League, and the Texas team finished one point ahead.

The earlier story pointed out that Phoenix XP member Amanda Lampton competed against her former Dallas 350 team mates Scott Levy and Lucas King in February, and both teams now posted the ICL scores with the same lineups. The additional interesting aspect is the fact that Amanda Lampton also organizes the ICL team at iFLY Dallas that Dallas 350 collects points for. In fact, Amanda Lampton also player-coached the RRR Class lineup and added 19 points to the iFLY Dallas account.

Seattle Swift: AAA and AA for iFLY Seattle
There was a fourth AAA Class team that posted very competitive scores for the AAA and AA Class sequences. Seattle Swift has collected ICL points for iFLY Seattle in these two categories since the team moved up from USPA's Intermediate Class (AA) to the Advanced Class competition (AAA).

Seattle Swift lost three points in the AAA Class and would have tied Phoenix XP's 20-pointer without the point deductions. The 21-pointer for the AA Class sequence even outscored the U.S. national team in 4-way Women and was only one point behind the April winner in this category, HF Flying Circus.

iFLY Tampa's A Class lineup tied one highscore for the Florida team and helped to tie the total of 111 points, which did not change the 7-point difference (429 - 422) between Seattle and Tampa after four months.

The top teams on the 14+ leaderboard have switched slots again, and the Hurricane Factory has the sole lead for the first time this year. However, it's only a 4-point difference (531 - 527), and the May sequences could bring the next swing...
