News Article Did you know that the NSL SkyVenture Competition results of the May 28 weekend are posted?
posted: Jun 5th, 2005 The results of NSL SkyVenture Competition on the May 28 weekend are now available. The handicapped scores of the May 21 weekend are still on a hold due to a little flaw in the program that calculates the handicapped results for the NSL SkyVenture Competition. This flaw relates only to meets where teams competed at earlier meets of a different league. The results of the May 28 weekend were calculated after four rounds in the AAA Class and also the AA Class, after three rounds in the A Class. The Southwest Skydiving League completed all six rounds, while the Georgia Skydiving League competition... (more)

News Article Did you know that the omission of a whole block costs a team a 6-point deduction?
posted: Jun 3rd, 2005 NST-TV regularly includes several different penalty situations and has initiated many different discussions of the rules in the past. Recently, and shortly after the last NSL-TV videos were uploaded, the omission came up once again. A Canadian visitor of the NSL Forum created a penalty situation: "So as we all know busts now equal a -1 point deduction. Omission are substracted -3 points. So lets say i skip a random formation Unipod, that equals -3, easy for now. What if a block is being completely omitted, how many points are taken away? -3 or -6 or even -9??? The registration deadline for the 3rd FAI Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup 2005 has passed, and the field of teams traveling to Russia in July is beyond all expectations. The leaderboard of last year's World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Croatia is great evidence for the top quality of the teams at the Malevsky Cup 2005. Eight of the top ten nations in Croatia are registered for the meet in Stupino, Russia, on July 4-9, 2005, including USA, France, Russia, Italy, Germany, Norway, Belgium and Spain. Only Switzerland and Denmark will... (more)

posted: May 31st, 2005 The second meet of the Georgia Skydiving League 2005 season was held Saturday, May 28, at Skydive Atlanta in Thomaston, GA. First of all, the GSL would like to extend a big thanks to Skydive Atlanta and Skydive Monroe for being able to work with the GSL and be willing to switch meet locations on short notice. Also, many thanks to the competitors for helping to spread the word of the change and for coming down to SDA on such short notice! GSL Meet 2 saw a great turnout with six teams showing up to compete. Unfortunately, due to two fifteen-minute weather holds and eventual rain at 7 pm, we were... (more)
News Article Did you know that Spa Hayabusa's 16-pointer highscore was real and correct?
posted: May 31st, 2005 The NSL News apologizes to the Belgium national 4-way team Spa Hayabusa and event judge Richard Schachner for the related incorrect comments in the May 30 story. The NSL News did not consider the fact that a re-jump was granted to the Belgium team when round eight of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 was posted on NSL-TV. The Hayabusa jump on NSL-TV until today was the first time the Belgian team was in the air for round eight. The meet management later granted a re-jump for Hayabusa. The repeater was judged while the other teams continued with the next round, and the correct score of 16 points... (more)
