Did you know that round nine of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 had the lowest scores of the meet? posted: Jun 10th, 2005 The NSL-TV coverage of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 slowly comes to the end. Round nine is currently featured, one more round to go. The timing seems to be just right. The end of the Shamrock Showdown coverage will be very close to the beginning of the Malevsky Cup 2005, which will offer the next world class 4-way competition on NSL-TV. However, there is not only the world class level that deserves attention. Great competition happens on several different scoring and performance levels. It is well worth to check out the videos of the other competition classes, too. (more)
Did you know that the case study on Pete Allum's eligibility status is back on? posted: Jun 9th, 2005 The NSL News reported of the "Pete Allum case" for the first time on December 24, 2004. The Christmas news announced Allum's plans to join the Italian national team Sinapsi PD. He has had resideny in Italy for several years due to his very popular coaching activities in the South-European country, as he confirmed with the NSL News in December.
However, there was a paragraph in the rulebook of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), which appeared to be an obstacle for Allum to be eligible as a competitor for the Italian national team at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving... (more)

Did you know that round two on May 21 was the slowest jump of the weekend? posted: Jun 7th, 2005 The new round of NSL-TV continues with the coverage of the May 21 meet weekend, the largest event in the history of the National Skydiving League. 81 teams still have their results posted on the NSL on-line scoreboard. Meet videos from four different leagues arrived at the NSL headquarters and can be shown on NSL-TV. (more)
Did you know that the 8-way event at the Malevsky Cup features the top five teams of 2004? posted: Jun 6th, 2005 The NSL News story on June 1 mentioned that the FAI Anton Malevsky Memorial International Cup 2005 will include the 8-way event for the first time in the event's history. The NSL News does not cover 8-way as regular as 4-way by nature. However, 8-way competition has been covered very extensively at the major events.
The NSL News was live on site when Arizona Airspeed and the Russian 8-way team went into a jump-off and tie-breaker situation at the world meet in France 2003. The 8-way competition was just as exciting at the world meet in Croatia 2004 when the NSL News had also traveled to Europe... (more)
Did you know that there were several more AAA Stars in Florida? posted: Jun 6th, 2005 The first part of the April 16 NSL-TV was posted with the NSL News on June 4th. The videos came from the Southwest Skydiving League event at Skydive Arizona in Eloy and included round four of Airspeed Odyssey and Velocity.
The new meet videos of the Florida Skydiving League meet in Lake Wales on the same weekend complete the coverage of round four. More 540 degree turns can be viewed in the AAA and AA Class, and more Stars at the end of the sequence in the AAA Class only. (more)
