Did you know that round two of the SSL May meet is now on NSL-TV? posted: Jun 8th, 2006 A new round of NSL-TV has been uploaded and features the second round of the Southwest Skydiving League May meet. The Florida Skydiving League competed on the same weekend and has already its third round on NSL-TV. The FSL takes a short break until the SSL teams have caught up.
The AAA/Open Class sequence of round three (M-16-1) is presented by Elsinore Gravity. Lou Ascione (Inside Center), Melanie Curtis (Point), John Hamilton (Outside Center), Steven Simar (Tail) and Pat Newman (Video) posted once again the highscore for this round with 19 points. (more)
Did you know that round one of the new SSL-TV shows very busy Perris Fury members? posted: Jun 3rd, 2006 The video footage of the Southwest Skydiving League's May meet has arrived, and NSL-TV did not hesitate to process and upload the first round Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, the videos of UK's national team in the Women's category, Perris AirKix, are the only ones missing. The different recording format, the European PAL system, was probably the obstacle.
However, the other jumps provide the overview of how the SSL teams performed in May, including the top scorer, Elsinore Gravity. It was not the greatest start into the competition for Lou Ascione (Inside Center), Melanie Curtis (Point), John... (more)
Did you know that Elsinore Gravity and UK Perris AirKix sent strong messages from Perris? posted: May 22nd, 2006 The first big multi-league meet weekend of the 2006 season has been completed. The scores of 48 teams are already posted, and three leagues will provide their updates very soon. One of the meets in Europe was completely weathered out, as Gerhard Schut reported from the Netherlands:
"This weekend we made an attempt to launch the first competition of the Dutch Handicap Cup 2006. Three teams had registered for the A Class competition, Alles is Relatief, 4 Get-it and Tuthola's. We had some cancelations beforehand due to team changes and injuries. Unfortunately, the weather did not really cooperate... (more)
Did you know that the SSL tie-breaker in round six is now on NSL-TV? posted: May 1st, 2006 Round six of the Southwest Skydiving League's April meet concludes the NSL-TV coverage of this event.
The 4-team competition in the AAA/Open Class ended with a "tie-breaker" between Elsinore Gravity and Thunder. The battle between both teams had gone back and forth throughout the first five rounds and was tied before going into round six. The slow and technical sequence (19-11-18) was not really perfectly suited to break a tie. (more)
Did you know that Elsinore Gravity edged out Thunder by one single point? posted: Apr 11th, 2006 The third meet weekend of the NSL 2006 season brought together the Southwest Skydiving League and the Colorado Skydiving League on the same date. Brazil was supposed to compete at the same time. Unfortunately, bad weather on site in South America did not allow the present four teams to get in the air. The meet has been re-scheduled.
Both the Southwest Skydiving League and the Colorado Skydiving League completed the 6-round events. The Southwest Skydiving League had a small participation, however, the quality of the competition was on a very high level, even without the Airspeed line-ups not... (more)
