Did you know that the Perris Fury videos of the Valentine's Meet raise a big question? posted: Feb 23rd, 2009 The scores of the Valentine's Meet 2009 on the front page have now been replaced by the indoor results of the tunnel competition in North Carolina. However, the coverage of the season opener on the west coast is far from over, as the NSL News had already promised earlier to follow up with more information and videos.
The NSL News covered the Valentine's Meet 2009, first with a few previews, and then with updates on the actual meet weekend. Airspeed Odyssey's Center Outside Craig Girard helped to keep the leaderboard up-to-date round by round, while he was competing with his team.

These rumors seem to have become reality, as some of the team members recently confirmed.

How is the situation between Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury after the first showdown of the 2009 season? Did you know that it's an Airspeed wrap in Eloy? posted: Feb 15th, 2009 The four AAA Class teams completed their missing three rounds of the Valentine's Meet 2009 today, and nothing changed between Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury.
Fury won the first round of the day by a point, but it was once again only caused by three Airspeed penalties in Round 8.
The Perris team lost its own two points in Round 10, which reduced the score for the slowest sequence of the competition draw from 14 to 12 points.

Did you know that the 2009 race between Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury begins this weekend? posted: Feb 13th, 2009 The long wait is over, the first scores of the 2009 season will be posted this weekend. It's time again for the Valentine's Meet, which has been the season opener for many years. It is also the first meet of the Arizona Skydiving League 2009, as Arizona Divewerkz speaker Blane Boynton mentioned in the AZDW update on 3 February 2009.
As usual, Skydive Arizona in Eloy is hosting the competition. Meet Director veteran Bryan Burke manages the event, and chief judge Judy Celaya travels from California to Arizona to take care of the business in the judging room.

Did you know that Perris Moxie has open slots for the 2009 season? posted: Feb 12th, 2009 Perris Moxie, the all female 8-way team lead by Perris Fury member Christy Frikken as part of the Fury8 project, has been together for three years. The line up has changed slightly every year but again sees six out of the eight team members returning for the 2009 season.
Perris Moxie was formed in 2006 and finished in 6th place with a 7.4 average at the USPA Nationals that year. Moxie lifted the scoring level to 10.2 a year later and posted the team's highest average of 10.4 at the USPA Nationals 2008. (more)
