posted: Aug 29th, 2009 The temporary transition of the NSL News office from DeLand, Florida, to Prostejov, Czech Republic, was successfully completed today. The competition site of the FAI World Cup 2009 is the place to be for the upcoming week. Several teams have been training at the dropzone already for several days, and they all speak highly of the facilities and the host's hospitality. The dropzone seems to be ready for the event, and only the final preparations are in the works. posted: Aug 28th, 2009 Yesterday's NSL News story provided a preview of the female 4-way competition at the FAI World Cup 2009. The article mentioned that the NSL News would soon follow up with information of the US team Spaceland Blue. The Blue members knew already earlier this year that the team agenda would not allow the attendance at the World Cup 2009. However, more difficulties occured when Becky Brocato injured her knee and needed surgery to repair her ACL, as the NSL News reported yesterday. News Article Did you know that the female silver medals could be open for grabs at the World Cup?
posted: Aug 27th, 2009 The NSL News evaluated the situation in the female 4-way category at the beginning of the 2009 season with the story on 3 May 2009. This evaluation related to the final target of the recent 2-year cycle for the national teams, the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Russia. The upcoming FAI World Cup 2009 is the major international competition this year and a stepping stone on the way to the World Meet in 2010. Six female 4-way teams are registered for the competition in Prostejov next week, one more than at the last World Cup in Russia 2007. (more)
News Article Did you know that a few French competitors have double duties at the World Cup?
posted: Aug 26th, 2009 The NSL News story on 24 August 2009 came along with scores of the French Nationals 2009. The teams had completed seven rounds at that time. Eventually, two more rounds were completed later for a 9-round competition, and Aerokart Amada also has a score for the 10th round. The team in 1st place is still the same, even though Aerokart Amada cannot officially win the championship as one of the national B-Teams. News Article Did you know that Finland's annual Hanko Open had great weather this year?
posted: Aug 25th, 2009 Last weekend's scores from Finland have completed the international part of the leaderboard. Scores from the US teams at four different locations will be added as soon as possible. Finland completed the 2009 season with the annual Hanko Open. The national championships were already held on the July 25 weekend, as the NSL News reported on 27 July 2009. The Pro Team won the 2009 title after a 10-round battle with the Tigers. (more)
News Article Did you know that Aerokart Amada won the French Nationals 2009?
posted: Aug 24th, 2009 The latest scores on last weekend's leaderboard were posted by the French AAA Class teams that competed at the national championships. Eleven additional teams competed in the French intermediate category, which is not synchronized with the NSL dive pools. Seven 8-way teams competed in Maubeuge, as well, plus three Vertical Relative Work teams. The Monaco Parachute Team had won the two previous competitions of the Coupe de France 2009.
