Did you know that the French national teams control all three events at the World Cup? posted: Sep 2nd, 2009 The 8-way teams completed Round 6 today and have left the drop zone. Germany and France have nothing to fight for, but there is a serious battle going on for the bronze medals.
Spain and Russia are going back and forth round by round, both teams are currently tied in 3rd place.
Round 4 is complete in both 4-way events. Aerokart Deep Blue Maubeuge continues to post impressive results. The 20-average level is very much in reach and probably the main goal for the French team. Did you know that the French competitors will have a very busy afternoon? posted: Sep 2nd, 2009 A small weather system put the teams on a weather hold for a little while. The 8-way teams suffered the interruption, while the 4-way teams came back to the drop zone after a morning off. This causes more work now for Bryan Burke who tries to keep everything on course.
All events will be active this afternoon, as the 8-way teams and the artistic competitors have not completed yet what was planned for them. Five 8-way rounds are in the bag, and Round 6 will begin shortly. The French 4-way and 8-way competitors will have a very busy afternoon, and Bryan Burke has to coordinate their agenda.

Did you know that new videos show a flawless French 4-way team? posted: Sep 2nd, 2009 Wednesday morning begins with a little treat for the NSL News audience. CamScore provided some footage, which made it much easier to put together a few jumps for reviews. The first clip features the 4-way teams on the top of the leaderboard, including all three rounds of the French national team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge.
It really is a treat, as these three rounds are almost flawless and present a French 4-way team that is five and more points ahead of the best teams in the world, except the US teams. The Airspeed world champions will probably take a very good look at these videos.

Did you know that NSL Talk and Deep Blue videos complete a great day in Prostejov? posted: Sep 1st, 2009 Today's NSL Talk with Joey Jones and Gary Smith is now available. The interview took place at the Airtec tent in the middle of the DZ activities when both coaches were done with their work.
Joey Jones commented the situation of his teams after three rounds. Hayabusa Defence is in 2nd place, still in striking distance for the 1st place. However, the pressure is on, as France has a 5-point lead. He also commented the situation of the unofficial "Scandinavian Championship". Sweden's Evolution, Finland's Pro Team and Norway's Nexus are tied in 14th place at the moment. It cannot be much more interesting... (more)
Did you know that Germany and Russia battle for the silver medal position in 8-way? posted: Sep 1st, 2009 The first 8-way scores are now on the leaderboard, as well. The French 8-way team, Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, right away created the distance to the rest of the field in Round 1 that was expected. The NSL News met the team out in the landing area after landing from Round 1.
New team captain Clement Martin St. Leon, who also competes with three 8-way team mates for Aerokart Pamiers Maubeuge in 4-way, explained that his team is preparing for the World Meet in 2010. The World Cup 2009 is the first competition for the new lineup.

Did you know that French meet videos and a live chat with Joey Jones and Gary Smith are in the works? posted: Sep 1st, 2009 The 4-way teams are done for today. The weather conditions were quite windy when the female 4-way teams finished off the 4-way event for today. The 8-way teams had to wait for a little while before they started their competition day.
The French national 4-way team posted another highscore in Round 3 and has won each round so far. Hayabusa coach Joey Jones said that the meet is far from over. He expects his team to catch up when the faster rounds of the meet are coming. The NSL News has already completed a little chat with Joey Jones and Gary Smith, the video will be uploaded later today.
