posted: Oct 31st, 2009 The NSL News story on 25 September 2009 included the first preview of SkyQuest 2009. World Team founder and Kaleidoscope Dives manager BJ Worth mentioned already in his first official announcement that he was planning to grow the event this year and invite many more World Team members to this year's Kaleidoscope Dives at SkyQuest 2009 in DeLand: "We will expand the number of participants, mix our collective talent pool as equally as possible, and jump as two teams – performing the same dive sequences. The size of these teams will be based on maintaining a very high quality of dives." BJ... (more)

Did you know that the audience can decide who is the Scandinavian champion of 2009?
posted: Oct 30th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 7 October 2009 that the Pro Team from Finland is this year's unofficial Scandinavian 4-way champion after scoring higher than Norway and Sweden at the FAI World Cup 2009. The story mentioned at the end that there was still an open question, as Denmarks national 4-way team Voluntas did not attend the competition in the Czech Republic and was planning to compete at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships. The Voluntas results at the USPA Nationals 2009 and the other Scandinavian scores at the World Cup 2009 do not really allow an accurate comparison, as the competition... (more)

Did you know that it's been 13 long years for the Golden Knights?
posted: Oct 29th, 2009 Today's video uploads complete the coverage of the Top 3 in the 8-way competition at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships. The packages of the first five rounds of Arizona Airspeed, Golden Knights and Paraclete XP are now complete with Paraclete's first half of the 8-way competition. Rounds six and seven were uploaded with all three teams in the final ranking order. Today's second video presents rounds eight, nine and ten of the same teams in the same order. Did you know that Brazil's national championship was shortened by bad weather?
posted: Oct 28th, 2009 Some missing scores of another 4-way competition in October have now been added to the leaderboard of October 10. Brazil held her national 4-way championships earlier this month, and bad weather allowed only the completion of two rounds for all teams. Three AAA Class teams completed Round 3. The NSL News had reported on 12 February 2009 that the Brazilian national 4-way team of the past years, CTR Optimum, had a personnel change at the beginning of the 2009 season. Optimum's videographer since 2003, Renato "Chubby" Gordinho, took the Center Inside slot, and Daiton Ribeiro became the new Tail.... (more)

Did you know that Sergey Yalpaev lost his 44-point world record at the USPA Nationals 2009?
posted: Oct 27th, 2009 Three guest teams from Denmark, Russia and Australia competed at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships. The Russian 4-way team Crystal, a.k.a. Gradient Alpha, has been one of the busiest competitors of the 2009 season. Vladimir Arutyunov (Center Outside), Andrey Kalugin (Point), Valery Kryshevich (Tail) and Sergey Yalpaev (Center Inside), with Andrey Tretyakov on camera at the USPA Nationals 2009, have attended six 4-way meets this year. posted: Oct 26th, 2009 It's time to move on with the 8-way Open story of the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships. The previous review of this exciting race and the dramatic ending during the award ceremony was posted on 22 October 2009. The story included a clip of the Golden Knights and the US Army team's first five competition jumps at Spaceland. This time, NSL-TV presents all three top teams with their rounds six and seven.
