News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP's 2010 season is in full swing?
posted: Apr 19th, 2010 The highest number of attended meets by any teams in 2010 is four at this point in time, and only one team can claim it. Aerokart Deep Blue, the French national 4-way team in the female category has competed once per month so far. Deep Blue's season opener was the Dubai Championship in January. The Aerokart Indoor Championship 2010 on home turf was next for the French world class team in February. Shamrock Showdown in March and World Challenge in April completed the Spring Tour 2010 for Deep Blue. It seems as if the top contender in the female 4-way category is getting stronger meet by meet.... (more)
Did you know that Eyjafjallajökull is causing trouble for Sinapsi?
posted: Apr 17th, 2010 Four teams made it to Sebastian for a small FSL 2010 April meet. However, one of the best US teams, SDC Rhythm XP, was competing together with the Norwegian national 4-way team in the female category, Polaris. Both teams just attended the World Challenge 2010 at Bodyflight Bedford. However, Polaris needs the outdoor competition experience, as the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Russia is coming up soon. Sebastian is Rhythm's home turf throughout the winter season. The story of this meet is a completely different one though, and the NSL News will go back to Rhythm and... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed and Hayabusa have to change the Shamrock history?
posted: Apr 16th, 2010 The NSL News goes back to the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2010 before the video coverage of the second day at the World Challenge 2010 will begin. There are good reasons to connect those two events, as several teams attended both competitions this year. The Shamrock Showdown was up first, and it is an interesting fact that the three top teams in DeLand (Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge, NMP-PCH Hayabusa, Perris Fury) finished in exactly the same order between the three of them at this year's World Challenge. The other interesting aspect is the fact that the same three Shamrock teams all defeated Arizona... (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 5 completed a very unusual first day at the World Challenge 2010?
posted: Apr 15th, 2010 The judging videos of the Top 11 at the World Challenge 2010 are now available for reviews. Round 5 was the last one on Saturday, the first day of the indoor competition at Bodyflight Bedford. The first half of this year's World Challenge had a surprising and unexpected outcome, and this could be an understatement... The scores of Round 5 added even more to the Arizona Airspeed damage, which was initiated in Round 2. NMP-PCH Hayabusa finished the day with one of the best performances of the whole competition. The 36-pointer beat Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge by five points and Airspeed by six... (more)
News Article Did you know that Polaris does many things for the first time this month?
posted: Apr 14th, 2010 The NSL News had introduced the new Norwegian national 4-way team in the female category, Polaris, with the story on 20 January 2010. The same story mentioned that the World Challenge 2010 would be the first competition for the new lineup. Polaris made the trip to Bedford and finished with a 19.5 average after eight rounds. The first Polaris story also mentioned that Polaris Tail Sissel Maria Finnseth has a special relationship with DeLand Norgies member Torstein Valen and that she has received the best coaching and advice ever since she finished her AFF jumps. Torstein Valen made the trip... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed's comeback became harder every round in a very strong field?
posted: Apr 13th, 2010 The videos of Round 4 at the World Challenge 2010 are up, once again with the Top 11 and in the same order of the final rankings. It was the second round for the defending triple World Challenge champion and reigning 4-way world champion Arizona Airspeed after the devastating results of Round 2. Airspeed was already with the back to the wall after the second round of the meet. It was actually a good thing that it happened so early - if there was anything good about it for the defending champions. At least, there was still enough time to crawl back to the top, round by round, and Airspeed... (more)
