News Article Did you know that DiZturbia has launched a 4-way project at Skydive City?
posted: Apr 15th, 2009 A new all-female 4-way team has formed at Skydive City in Zephyrhills, Florida. Jaime Cruce, Christine Freiherr, Sarah Knipling and Laura Song have joined forces to represent Skydive City this year at the Florida Skydiving League meets and advance 4-way fun and competition in Z-Hills. The team is called DiZturbia and will post the first scores this weekend at the second FSL meet of the regular season in DeLand. The team has already scheduled other 4-way activities at Skydive City for the 2009 season, the next one on April 26. (more)
News Article Did you know that the four top teams scored a point every 0.6 seconds in Round 4?
posted: Apr 14th, 2009 The 12 best sequences of only Random Formations in Round 4 of the World Challenge 2009 have now been uploaded and can be viewed on YouTube NSL-TV. It is quite a feast, as only one of these 12 teams scored below 40 points within working time. The whole 12-pack combined for a total of 557 points, which makes it a 46-pointer for the average team of this group. It also means that these teams scored one point per 0.75 seconds in average. The highscorer of Round 4, Perris Fury, was still much faster than the average team. The Fury members managed to move, stop, grip and show a scoring formation... (more)
News Article Did you know that a lineup of experienced skydivers competes for San Diego this year?
posted: Apr 13th, 2009 The Southern California Skydiving League is reaching even futher south this year. The NSL News reported on 25 January 2007 that the Southwest Skydiving League split into the Southern California Skydiving League and the Arizona Skydiving League: "The Southwest Skydiving League has finalized its schedule for the 2007 season. Actually, the new schedule includes only the events at the two major hosts in California, Skydive Elsinore and Perris Valley Skydiving. News Article Did you know that Bodyflight Storm has a new lineup?
posted: Apr 12th, 2009 One of the interesting races within the competition took place between two all-female lineups, Pussy Galore and Aerokart Deep Blue. Both teams made it to the Top 12 at the World Challenge 2009, which brings each round to the NSL-TV audience. Aerokart Deep Blue is the French national 4-way team in IPC's female category, bronze medalist at last year's World Championship of Formation Skydiving. The NSL News has covered the French team already quite a few times this year, as Deep Blue also competed at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2009. News Article Did you know that Airspeed explains the top spot in a live interview?
posted: Apr 11th, 2009 Airspeed Odyssey will still be around for a while. A live interview with the reigning 4-way world champions after the World Challenge 2009 brought good news and bad news at the same time. The good news are for Formation Skydiving competition in general, the bad news are for the 4-way top teams that want to win any competition that Airspeed Odyssey attends, as well. The Airspeed members made it very clear that they don't even consider retiring at any time soon - even not after losing a meet or the top position in the world. (more)
News Article Did you know that France Maubeuge enjoyed the indoor challenge in Bedford?
posted: Apr 9th, 2009 Round 2 of the World Challenge 2009 has now been uploaded to YouTube and is available for reviews. It was a round where the French national 4-way team, France Maubeuge, gained respect from the tunnel experts. Mathieu Bernier, Guillaume Bernier, Julien Degen and Jeremie Rollet had never attended a tunnel competition before they came to Bedford last week. They were a little bit nervous and did not really know what to expect at the World Challenge 2009. However, they said after the meet that they really enjoyed the competition and were satisfied with their indoor performance. (more)
