News Article Did you know that Airspeed made it a 17 - 0 run in Bedford?
posted: Apr 5th, 2009 All available scores have finally been posted, and Airspeed has made it a 17 - 0 streak with the new victory at the World Challenge 2009. Paul Meyer organized a grande finale with a showdown in the viewing hangar. No big surprises were expected any longer on the second day of the competition, and the last viewing and award ceremony turned mostly into a social event. However, everything was prepared for a real showdown. The start of Round 10 in the AAA Class was delayed until the judges were ready with Round 9 and the scores were posted. The teams knew their situation going into the last round... (more)
News Article Did you know that the videos of Round 6 are now available on NSL-TV?
posted: Apr 5th, 2009 The scores of Round 6 are posted, and Joey Jones was right, at least for the first round on Sunday. Nothing has changed. The NSL-TV camera followed the top teams once again into the tunnel this morning. News Article Did you know that Perris Fury's 59-pointer is available on NSL-TV?
posted: Apr 4th, 2009 Well, the leader of the pack stands with a 34.8 average after four rounds, not too bad... The surprise comes with the name of the leader: Perris Fury. The underdog has turned into the top contender within two rounds. After a disappointing Round 2, Fury showed already in Round 3 how much mental strength the Perris team actually has. The highscore in Round 3 paid back for the pain in Round 2 and brought apparently the motivation to go even further. The 59-pointer in Round 4 was the best of Perris Fury ever and came all in one jump. It brought the second sole highscore and the top of the leaderboard... (more)
News Article Did you know that a new NSL-TV video features Round 1 of six top teams?
posted: Apr 4th, 2009 The new NSL-TV video features the top teams of the World Challenge 2009 performing Round 1. It can be viewed by clicking here. It was a lucky stretch for the NSL-TV camera. The random draw of the jump order brought six of the top teams into the tunnel next to each other. GKXP opened this cycle with a 22-pointer and the second place after Round 1. Golden Knight Brian "BK" Krause flies with a broken hand, as he injured it during 8-way training in the windtunnel. XL was next and finished with a 21-pointer after a glitch. Arcteryx Nice with the French guest followed with a 20-pointer before Airspeed... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Fun Flag is not flying over Bedford so far?
posted: Apr 4th, 2009 The competition draw is posted, and Bodyflight Bedford turned instantly into a dirtdive arena after the CamScore copies were handed out to the teams. Once again, the NSL Reality TV camera went on a tour and captured scenes of the preparations for the ten sequences. An important issue came up on this tour. The NSL News found Bodyflight Storm members Hannah Betts and Claire "Sparky" Scott, who compete with Tarnya Hollis and Amanda Kemp under the team name Pussy Galore this weekend. The NSL News asked the two 4-way world champions of 2008 in the female 4-way category when the Fun Flag would... (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL-TV followed the French teams into the chamber?
posted: Apr 3rd, 2009 Bodyflight Bedford's tunnel engine has now been running for over 24 hours without any break, and Paul Meyer said that it will continue like that until midnight. There are still many teams that use the last chance to get familiar with the 16-footer in Bedford. France has once again a large delegation with different five 4-way teams. The manager of the French national teams in Formation Skydiving competition, former 4-way world champion Jerome David, has also traveled to Bedford. He joined the national 4-way and 8-way coaches, Marin Ferre and Erwan Pouliquen, for a live interview with the NSL... (more)
