Did you know that three 8way teams competed at the Dutch Nationals? posted: Aug 24th, 2011 The NSL News continues with the review of the 8way competition at the World Cup 2011.
The videos of Round 5 and the extended leaderboard with the point deductions are now available.
The reason for the 8way priority at the moment is a simple one.
Some of the 8way teams who competed in Germany have been back in action in the meantime, as well as several 4way teams.
The Brit Chicks could not take the top spot in the United Kingdom where the experienced defending champion, Microclim8, won the gold medals.
It was different in the Netherlands. M8Trix competed as the national at the World... (more)
Did you know that Germany's 8way dream was over after Round 4? posted: Aug 23rd, 2011 The review of the World Cup 2011 continues with the competition videos of Round 4 in 8way, and the point deductions for the same round have been added to the extended leaderboard.
The Golden Knights brought the lead back to two points, and EADS Germany fell hopelessly behind the RussianSky Panthers Barkli. Germany's 4way and 8way videographer Alexander "Dude" Hau started out filming the 8way jumps exiting early in Round 1. He used to apply this filming technique in 8way, even though he is "peeling off" in 4way.
The 8way filming technique in Round 1 was probably costly. The judges did not... (more)
Did you know that several German World Cup competitors scored again last weekend? posted: Aug 22nd, 2011 Nine teams competed at a regional 4way competition in Germany last weekend, and several of them used the meet in Eisenach, home of the former national 4way champions Dädalus, as the final test before the national championships in two weeks.
One of the teams was Neva who also attended the World Cup 2011, a few weeks ago and a few hours away from Eisenach. Last weekend's competition in Eisenach was not as competitive for Neva as the battle with the Italian team Evolution at the World Cup.
The winner last weekend, Mimikri, was too far away, and Wolfpack could not get close enough to Neva. Mimikri... (more)

As usual, the videos come together with an updated leaderboard that shows the point deductions for all teams, as well. Dirk Venter, who was a judge in Saarlouis-Duren, Germany, and who is also running the InTime scoring system that was used at the World Cup, kindly provided the penalty information for the NSL News.
Several of the point deductions caused some trouble that the NSL News has covered with previous stories. The judges at the World Cup did not appreciate very much the NSL News... (more)
Did you know that the UK Nationals continue in 8way this weekend? posted: Aug 20th, 2011 UK correspondent Jo Hawley brought the 4way competition of the UK Nationals 2011 to the attention of the NSL News audience with a summary on 17 August 2011. This weekend she is busy with the Brit Chicks who are trying to win the 8way gold medals this year.
It's a tough job since the defending 8way champions of MicroClim8 are in good shape, as well. MicroClim8 won easily with a 12.2 average last year. The Brit Chicks were at the 8way beginnings by then and finished in 2nd place with an 8.9 average. It's a horse race this year, and MicroClim8 is up by only five points after five rounds (69 -... Did you know that the World Cup videos of Round 3 come together with scores from the Dutch Nationals? posted: Aug 19th, 2011 The next round of NSL-TV videos covers Round 3 of the 4way Open Class at the World Cup 2011. The clip covers once again the Top 8 teams that made it to the final round. However, it begins with the Dutch 4way team Whooops this time, and there is a special reason for that.
The Netherlands launched their national championships on Friday, and Whooops is the Dutch national 4way team that competed for the Netherlands at the World Cup and is again on the top of the Dutch leaderboard this weekend. Whooops will defend the gold medals successfully and continue as the national team for another year.
