News Article Did you know that Team Karma was competitive with seven hands?
posted: Sep 9th, 2013 The German Nationals 2013 also included an 8way competition. Three of the teams had attended the World Cup 2011 on home turf in Saarlouis, Germany, and have continued their 8way projects ever since. The German national 8way team EADS finished in 4th place with a 14.8 average in 2011 and followed up with a 14.8 average in 4th place at the Mondial Dubai 2012. Exactly the same EADS lineup now won again the 8way gold medals at the national championships and will compete for Germany in Prostejov 2014. New Paratec-Saar member Petra Van Overveld made three of the ten competition jumps in 8way... (more)
News Article Did you know that another jump-off concluded the ESL Championship 2013?
posted: Sep 8th, 2013 The ESL Championship 2013 is over, and Belgium defended the ESL Spirit successfully. It was no surprise that the competition ended with a jump-off for the 3rd place in the A Class. It was the closest race in the history of the event, and there were exciting battles for medal positions in three of the four categories. However, the jump-off round between Team Tetley and Cosmic Noise and the victory of the UK team had no impact on the outcome of the ESL Spirit competition. The UK delegation already collected six ESL points from Eclipse in the AAA Class, and Team Tetley's 3rd place did not improve... (more)
News Article Did you know that Slovenia and Austria combined their national championships this year?
posted: Sep 7th, 2013 Teams from Slovenia and Austria joined forces this year to hold their national championships. Slovenj Gradec was the host, and the competition took place on August 21 - 25. One of the teams from Slovenia had just completed nine rounds at the World Cup 2013 in Banja Luka, which is not too far away from Slovenia. Coach Joey Jones was with Team Vesce in Banja Luka where the team collected their first international meet experiences. It was not the first time this year though that Vesce appeared on the NSL leaderboard. The Slovenian team had also attended the July meet of the Czech Republic Skydiving... (more)
News Article Did you know that everything is possible at the ESL Championship 2013?
posted: Sep 6th, 2013 The 4way competition at the German Nationals 2013 was just completed when the next meet began. 35 teams completed their first rounds at the ESL Championship 2013 in Moorsele, Belgium. Teams from seven different nations have made the trip to Belgium this year, and it is no surprise that Germany is not represented. Belgium, Netherlands and United Kingdom have the largest delegations and the best chances to win the ESL Spirit. Belgium is the defending ESL champion. It is a good race between the three delegations at the end of the first day, and it seems as if the major battle will be fought... (more)
News Article Did you know that it was a battle of the front pieces in Round 10?
posted: Sep 6th, 2013 It's all over in Germany, and there was no jump-off. Paratec-Saar, the reigning champion and Germany's national team, took the lead for the first time in Round 8 and defended it successfully for two more rounds. Solly Williams provided once again the story line for Friday when the teams completed the remaining three rounds. He had mentioned during yesterday's update that he remembered the first time the two teams competed for the German national 4way title in 2005. EADS was the reigning champion by then, and Paratec-Saar, competing under FSC Remscheid by then, was the new and young challenger.... (more)
News Article Did you know that Solly Williams reports the drama from Germany?
posted: Sep 5th, 2013 It could not be any more exciting in the AAA Class competition of the German Nationals 2013. The battle between Paratec-Saar and EADS continues and gets even more exciting round by round. Each team has won three rounds, and they tied their scores in Round 3. Neither teams has been able to win a round by more than one point. There are three more rounds to go, and chances are little that any of the two teams is going to melt down. The whole German 4way experience and talent combines in those two lineups, who are once again winning the 8way title together, as well. The judges may play an important... (more)
