News Article Did you know that a dream came true for Rookie Class team Fly Wild?
posted: Sep 5th, 2013 The Sun Path Products NSL News introduced UK's first 4way gold medalist from Northern Ireland on 6 August 2013. Fly Wild had won the Rookie Class competition at the Hibaldstow Cup 2013 with a 12.0 average. The story mentioned that Fly Wild would come back to Hibaldstow three weeks later to compete at the UK Nationals 2013. The second trip to the same location turned out to be just as successful as the first one, as Fly Wild also won the first gold medals at the national championships for Northern Ireland. The 12.4 average at the UK Nationals was more than enough to win. Almost all other Rookie... (more)
News Article Did you know that the USPA Nationals 2013 will feature several medal and internal battles?
posted: Sep 4th, 2013 The USPA Nationals 2013 are just around the corner, and it is time for the first preview. It's not only Arizona Airspeed having to defend the national 4way title, which has been in Eloy consecutively since 2007. The US teams are also trying to fend off the challenging UK teams who try to win the bragging rights for the biggest 4way outdoor competition in the world. It will probably be easier for Airspeed to win the next set of 4way gold medals than for the US teams to beat this year's UK number of 75 teams at the national championships. DeLand Groove (Ian Bobo, Shannon Pilcher, Gary Smith,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the battle in Germany may include a challenging jump-off round?
posted: Sep 3rd, 2013 The first four rounds of the German Nationals 2013 have been completed, and Solly Williams kindly provided the competition draw for the AAA Class competition. The horse race between Paratec-Saar and EADS is as close as it was expected. The EADS challenger had the better start, but the defending champion has recovered and won back the first point in the slow Round 4 sequence. It is an interesting competition draw and much different compared to the one at the World Cup 2013. The teams in Banja Luka had all six slot switchers within the first seven rounds, while the German 4way teams had only... (more)
News Article Did you know that a very strong UK delegation travels to the ESL Championship this week?
posted: Sep 2nd, 2013 The upcoming ESL Championship 2013 will probably be just as exciting as the German Nationals. The event format is very different and engages significantly more teams in the battle for the ESL Spirit. The delegations from Belgium (3), Netherlands (5) and United Kingdom (1) have been taking turns winning the event between 2004 and 2012. Belgium is the defending champion and still owns the ESL trophy, the Spirit, until Saturday. Then it may change ownership, and the UK teams seem to have a good plan how to win the sword for the second time. The participation has doubled from 18 teams last year... (more)
News Article Did you know that a tough 4way battle can be expected this week in Germany?
posted: Sep 2nd, 2013 Another interesting week is beginning. The German Nationals 2013 are scheduled for the week days, with the first round coming tomorrow morning. As soon as the German Nationals are over, the ESL Championship will begin on Saturday morning. The Russian Nationals will also be held this week. There is no serious competition for Barkli in Russia, and the ESL Championship in Moorsele, Belgium, is a friendly meet for all teams who would like to attend a fun international competition and try to help each country's delegation to win the ESL Spirit. The situation is different in Germany where the winning... (more)
