News Article Did you know that coach Gary Smith is happy with the Hayabusa performance?
posted: Dec 4th, 2013 The 8way competition at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 continues on Wednesday with two more rounds. Ali Al Neayadi is back in action after taking a day off when the 4way teams where in the air yesterday. He is also competing with Dubai Asaar Black, and his 4way team is currently in 5th place. Craig Girard took his slot yesterday when he was dealing with a nasal congestion and could not jump. It was more important for the coach to have him back in the 8way competition where Dubai Asaar is in 1st place. Ali Al Neayadi is now back in the 8way lineup for the two rounds... (more)
News Article Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa lost the first point in Round 6?
posted: Dec 4th, 2013 Two rounds of 8way competition are scheduled for Wednesday at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013. The 4way teams are off for the whole day. NMP-PCH Hayabusa videographer Danny Jacobs has posted his team's videos of Rounds 6 and 7. Hayabusa had the first point deduction of the meet in Round 6. The judges could not see either the inter of Block 13 (Offset - Spinner) or the completed second formation of the block, due to the video angle. It is difficult to say what it was exactly. The Offset counted as a scoring formation, even though the camera angle did not change much... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Aerodyne French Girls do now what Aerokart Deep Blue did in their days?
posted: Dec 3rd, 2013 The Aerodyne French Girls caught the attention of the Sun Path Products NSL News on Sunday when they posted the second highest score of all 4way teams at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 in Round 5. It happened again in Round 7, and it is only fair to show the combined leaderboard of the 4way Open and 4way Women events to honor this special achievement. This time, the French national team in the female category also climbed up the combined leaderboard. SDC Rhythm XP was in 3rd place after Round 5, and the Aerodyne French Girls have taken away the spot for the moment. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Qatar Tigers may have to reset the goals for 2014?
posted: Dec 3rd, 2013 NMP-PCH Hayabusa had to accept a 22-pointer in Round 6, after a point deduction on the hill. It was the first penalty for the Belgian leader at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013. Barkli was the only other team finishing with a 20-pointer or higher for the slow sequence. The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned earlier that the Qatar Tigers have been surprising the other teams, the audience and even their coach Luc Verstrepen with a very impressive performance in Dubai. The Tigers were able to keep up with SDC Rhythm XP through the first four rounds before falling behind... (more)
News Article Did you know that there is a lot of 8way history in the teams from Monaco and Russia?
posted: Dec 3rd, 2013 Dubai Asaar's 8way team is on its way to win the 8way competition of the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 on home turf. It would be great contribution to the national celebrations that are taking place at the moment in Dubai. Craig Girard seems to have the 8way team on such a solid performance level that it is difficult to imagine a serious flaw or meltdown that could allow Monaco's 8way team or Fly Tanay from Russia to get close enough for a gold medal challenge. New meet videos are now showing the red Monaco flyers with their first five rounds. Monaco has a 1-point... (more)
News Article Did you know that Team4speed has to digest recent slot switches?
posted: Dec 2nd, 2013 Not much changed in 8way at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013. Dubai Asaar continued the pursuit of gold medals on home turf by adding another highscore for Round 5. Craig Girard's 8way lineup has not given away a round yet. It seems like it will only be a battle for the silver medals. The VFS 4way competition is usually a tough battlefield between Team4speed from France and Dubai Nexus, as well. This is not the case at the 4th DIPC 2013. Dubai Nexus is far ahead of the French world champions of 2012. Nexus won for the first time at the World Cup 2013 and confirmed the... (more)
