News Article Did you know that Mass Defiance had a very successful comeback with the original lineup?
posted: Nov 5th, 2016 Mass Defiance is a team name that is surely not new to the Sun Path Products NSL News audience. In fact, Mass Defiance has been a part of the 4-way competition world in the U.S.A. since 2004, when the original lineup (Ben Liston, Jim Rees, John Silva, Brian Stephens, Steve Feldman on camera) finished in 4th place in USPA's Advanced Class at the national championships. It was 12 years later when the same lineup competed again at the USPA Nationals 2016. Only videographer Steve "Scuba" Feldman did not make it due to an untimely illness, even though he has been filming Mass Defiance this... (more)
News Article Did you know that iFLY SF Bay won the ICL October competition for 12+ flying chambers?
posted: Nov 4th, 2016 The Northern California Skydiving League has been posting scores on the monthly Indoor Cloud League leaderboards with two different teams since May 2016, when iFLY Sacramento joined and created internal regional NCSL competition. NCSL Director Lori Connor has been organizing both groups, while most of the player coaches participated only at one of the two iFLY wind tunnels in California. The teams have consisted of different players who chose their home tunnel according to the location. iFLY SF Bay has won five of the six monthly events so far, including the October competition. News Article Did you know that Skydive Midwest NEXT tied SDC Rhythm XP's highest Advanced Class average in USPA history?
posted: Nov 3rd, 2016 The performance of the new Advanced Class champion at the USPA Nationals 2016, Skydive Midwest NEXT, was even more dominating than Seattle Swift's in the Intermediate Class, even though the field in this category was the biggest one since 2000/2001. The number of Advanced Class teams almost doubled between 2015 and 2016 (13 - 25). The performance is even more impressive considering the fact that there are not many teams in USPA history who have won consecutive gold medals, first in the Intermediate, then in the Advanced Class. SDMW Next won the AA Class title last year, trained the AAA Class... (more)
News Article Did you know that Zhills PreciZion accomplished the team's ultimate goal?
posted: Nov 2nd, 2016 The team in 1st place of the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2016 received the attention of the Sun Path Products NSL News earlier than the actual USPA champion in this category for a good reason. Seattle Swift has been a relevant part of U.S. 4-way competition this year (Northwest Skydiving League) and failed to win the gold medals only due to the lack of a timely immigration procedure. However, the USPA rules are clear and important, and Swift was only a guest team in this year's national championships. The USPA gold medals went to Zhills PreciZion, who left the rest of the Intermediate... (more)
News Article Did you know that many Indoor Cloud League competitors from Texas competed at the USPA Nationals?
posted: Nov 1st, 2016 The U.S. teams of the Indoor Cloud League were in a similar situation as the Czech teams in October. The USPA Nationals 2016 had first priority, and several teams and competitors were unable to squeeze extra tunnel time into the tight schedule. Deb Correia reported from iFLY Seattle that her event had to be held without any members of Seattle Swift who were in the final preparations for their top performance in the AA/Intermediate Class competition in Eloy. However, she still had four strong lineups who combined for a total of 117 points, which is only three points short of the Hurricane... (more)
News Article Did you know that The Czech Indoor Cloud League team is back in full force?
posted: Oct 31st, 2016 FAI Mondial and FAI Indoor World Cup kept many teams busy in September and October, at least the national teams of each participating country at the world meet, plus additional 4-way teams at the world cup. It is not only the travel to the event site and the actual competition that require additional time and efforts. The teams and competitors are also timing their training and the last preparations according to the meet schedule each year. The Czech Republic had only one team at the Mondial, the CZ Ladies in 4-way Women. However, the Czech delegation was one of the largest at the indoor... (more)
