Did you know that USPA's Advanced Class history began in 1999? posted: Nov 6th, 2017 The NSL News had covered the history of USPA's Intermediate Class competition with the story on 18 October 2017, which gave credit to the 14.0 average posted by this year's winner, Vega XP.
The Advanced Class category has its own history and began a few years later. Frost was the first USPA gold medalist in 1999, after the Advanced Class had turned into the same one as it is today.
There had been an Advanced Class competition at the USPA Nationals 1998, as well, which actually applied the Intermediate Class rules by then.

Did you know that the Indoor Cloud League October competition brought Dallas 350 members back together? posted: Nov 4th, 2017 The Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas has not broken the total of 100 points for the six 14+ sequences this year so far and never came so close as in October.
The total of 99 points on the October leaderboard is still the highest result this year.
Four different lineups worked together for the highscore of 2017, guided by coaches Amanda Lampton and Scott Levy, assisted by Kyle Hermberg.
Lacey and Zach Breaux, Donaldo Grajeda and Michael Erickson joined forces in one of the two lineups that posted the highscores in two categories (AA - A).

Did you know that former Dutch team mates Leander van Schriek and Rogier Carper have a reunion at iFLY SF Bay next week? posted: Nov 3rd, 2017 The Indoor Cloud League October competition pitched once again the two teams in Northern California against each other, and iFLY Sacramento won easily this time. The iFLY SF Bay team has won two of the ten monthly duels this year before iFLY Sacramento took the top spot in April and then defended it successfully month by month.
There is a friendly rivalry between the two NCSL Indoor Cloud League teams, with overlapping participation, even though the two wind tunnels are at least two hours of driving distance away from each other.

Did you know that the FAI Indoor World Meet featured an internal Czech AAA Class battle? posted: Nov 2nd, 2017 The Indoor Cloud League competition for the month of October is over, and the latest submissions will still fill up last month's leaderboard until this weekend. The new six sequences for November are posted and can be used for the new leaderboard.
The Czech October total of 160 points in the Hurricane Factory is this year's record number and will be very difficult to beat. HF Bad Boys and HF Junior Cubs were very well prepared with their indoor training for the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017 and contributed heavily with their scores for three categories (AAA - AA - A).

Did you know that Four Horsemen kept Seattle Swift off the USPA podium this year? posted: Nov 1st, 2017 The story of Northwest Skydiving League team Seattle Swift has been covered by the NSL News several times since the current lineup came together at the beginning of the 2016 season.
Swift trained the AA Class dive pool and competed in the Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2016 where they finished in 1st place with a 14.7 average. The team was not eligible for USPA medals by then and made new plans for the 2017 season.
The same lineup decided to leave behind the AA Class and potentially USPA medals in the Intermediate Class and move up into the AAA Class with the beginning of the 2017... (more)
Did you know that the 4-way junior revolution is in full swing? posted: Nov 1st, 2017 The NSL News reported on 22 October 2017 that the 4-way Junior teams Aerokart Ak'demie 2 and Air Devils lifted AA Class indoor competition to a new performance level at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2017. A closer look at the 2017 world rankings in this category confirms the AA Class revolution by the 4-way juniors.
It is only a matter of time when the translation into AAA Class competition will take place, which has already happened randomly when young 4-way competitors have taken on the complete dive pool. Air Devils member Yannick Bisson has even made the next step with his AFF completion in... (more)
