News Article Did you know that Ranch 2nd Generation and Fast4ward XP have a re-match at Paraclete?
posted: Feb 23rd, 2018 It's time again for the annual Paraclete XP Indoor Championship in the 16-foot flying chamber in Raeford. Arizona Airspeed is back from international challenges at the Wind Games 2018 to defending the U.S. top position against SDC Rhythm XP. There might not be the same performance pressure at Paraclete compared to the one that the toughest opponents in the world and this year's FAI medal contenders put on in Spain. However, SDC Rhythm XP alone will do everything possible to make it as difficult as possible for the U.S. national 4-way champion. In fact, Rhythm is the defending champion... (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL-TV features the Pro Team's 22.8 average with Kalle Pohjola?
posted: Feb 22nd, 2018 The NSL News story on 11 February 2018 brought Kalle Pohjola of Finland's Pro Team back to the attention of the audience. He had competed as a 4-way junior with his parents Kimmo and Outi at two World Challenges in Bedford and was now back at the national indoor championships as an 18-year old 4-way senior. It was not difficult for the Pro Team to win in Finland. It was probably the more interesting challenge for Kalle Pohjola to compare the performance level of his February lineup with the scores that the Pro Team's AAA Class lineup posted last year at the World Challenge 2017. His parents... (more)
News Article Did you know that Eclipse has a reunion of the original lineup at the World Challenge?
posted: Feb 21st, 2018 The new NSL Power Ranking update of the World Challenge 2018 is showing three new teams on the AAA Class leaderboard, and it is pure coincidence that these three new teams are set right next to each other. Eclipse, HF Flying Circus and Jetmax created probably one of the many exciting internal battles, which are always a part of the whole competition, by signing up at the same time. HF Flying Circus and Jetmax have both been very active recently, while Eclipse attended the team's last competition in October 2016, the Bodyflight Revenge in Bedford. In fact, the NSL News reported the end of... (more)
News Article Did you know that Echochamber posted the next 26+ average at the Swedish Indoor Nationals?
posted: Feb 20th, 2018 The NSL News reported the exciting battle for the last three spots within the Top 10 at the Wind Games 2018 with the story on 2 February 2018 and followed up a day later with the changes and final standings at the end of the meet. The Swedish team Echochamber was a part of this 3-team battle and finished once again well within the international Top 10, where Sweden has been established since Gryttjom Volo's 5th place at the FAI Indoor World Meet 2015. Volo discontinued after the internal Swedish duel with Echochamber at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2016 and left the field in Sweden for Echochamber... (more)
News Article Did you know that there are two undefeated 4-way competitors in the Shamrock Showdown history?
posted: Feb 19th, 2018 The myth that Arizona Airspeed was undefeated at the Shamrock Showdown was broken with the story on 6 March 2017. Joey Jones had brought to the NSL News attention that DeLand Majik won the first Shamrock Showdown in 2002 by three points over Airspeed's Vertical team (Craig Girard, Mark Kirkby, Neal Houston, John Eagle, Marc Steinbaugh on camera). It was the inaugural event, after the March meet of the Florida Skydiving League had grown into a major international outdoor competition and received a signature name related to the St. Patrick's Day celebrations at this time of the year. The 2002... (more)
News Article Did you know that the February leaderboard of the World Tunnel League was a AA Class scramble?
posted: Feb 18th, 2018 The Orlando Indoor Cloud League team of the Florida Skydiving League started into the February competition the opposite way compared to January, when the score for one of the Rookie Class sequences (R) was missing. This time, there was no lineup that was ready to take on the AAA Class sequence with a slot switcher for the front piece (D,9,K,16) and the Orlando team has the remainder of the month to follow up with a scoring number for this category. Champaka Nagaraju was back after more than a 1-year break and attended her first FSL Tunnel Kicker at the new iFLY facilities, together with her... (more)
