Did you know that the a battle for bronze can be expected in 8-way? posted: Oct 20th, 2022 The 8-way preview of the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 with the first NSL Power Rankings on October 13th included an overview of the history in this event at FAI World Championships of Formation Skydiving.
The chart was showing that all FAI medals since 1985 went to the three 8-way powerhouses, United States, France and Russia, with three exceptions. Canada's 8-way team won bronze medals in 1985, Italy in 2008, Qatar in 2018. Everything was back to the usual situation at the FAI Tanay Mondial, where the same three 8-way powerhouses won once again the three sets of FAI medals.

Did you know that Paraclete XP8 could become the first team to defend a world championship title a year later? posted: Oct 19th, 2022 On Wednesday, the NSL News was on the mission to find the teams that were mentioned in the preview on October 16th. Tigers (Qatar), Papea Masculino (Spain), Out Of The Blue (Netherlands) and Adventure Flyers (Paraguay) had represented their countries with the same lineups at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 and have the rare opportunity to attend a second FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving a year later.

Did you know that Tuesday featured double-duty practice at Skydive Arizona? posted: Oct 18th, 2022 The three top contenders for the FAI silver medals in 4-way Open continued with their training on Tuesday, three days before Round 1 of the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022. All four teams in 4-way Women were also in action at the same time.
Three 4-way Women competitors (Jeana Billings, Michelle Karamon, Linda Koeb) are the only participants at the outdoor world meet who take on double-duties in 4-way and 8-way this time. Their teams had to organize their training in a way that allows them to warm up in both events and simulates the meet situation realistically.

Did you know that NMP PCH HayaBusa have never competed in Eloy yet? posted: Oct 18th, 2022 The NSL News has transitioned to Skydive Arizona for the live coverage of the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022, and the first day in Eloy was already loaded with action. The final training days before Round 1 on Friday morning are in full swing.
The coming days before the start of the competition offer opportunities for the NSL News to introduce some of the teams who have been on the preview leaderboards. Arizona Airspeed's 4-way Open opponents from France, Belgium and Qatar were in training on Tuesday, while the home team did not make their way to the dropzone.

Did you know that Denmark is back on the FAI World Championship leaderboard? posted: Oct 17th, 2022 Denmark's national team in 4-way Open for the upcoming FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 was probably the last team posting most recent scores before traveling to Skydive Arizona. It was the Danish national indoor championship where Sequenz won the AAA Class competition.
The national indoor championships in Denmark have been held shortly after the end of the outdoor season in the past years, while most other countries schedule their championships closer to the end of the indoor season, which usually conclude with FAI's indoor world meets or world cups.

Did you know that four of the Tanay 4-way Open teams are back with the same lineups? posted: Oct 16th, 2022 Seven of the nine countries who had sent their national 4-way Open Class teams to the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 will be back this week for the next outdoor world meet. Only Kazakhstan and Indonesia will not be represented again in Eloy.
Six of the returning seven countries have the same national teams competing a year later, and four of them have registered the same lineups (Qatar Tigers, Papea Masculino, Out Of The Blue, Adventure Flyers). The United States have a completely different national team after the USPA Nationals 2021, and NMP PCH HayaBusa have a lineup with a new team member (Neal Willems).
