News Article Did you know that Airbus 8 added three more points to the bronze-medal lead in Round 4?
posted: Oct 22nd, 2022 Saturday began with 8-way competition at the FAI Outdoor World Meet. Meet director Randy Connell will try to add four more rounds to the first three on Friday, before a weather system may interfere with the schedule temporarily. Round 4 continued with the progression on the leaderboard, as it had been happening on Friday, the first day of the competition. Paraclete XP extended the lead to a total of 15 points, while the Qatars Falcons added four more points to the lead over Airbus 8. The German 8-way team won another round over the other two bronze medal contenders, MicroClim8 and Mojo Annecy-Clermont.... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airbus 8 are closer than ever to the first FAI medals for Germany?
posted: Oct 21st, 2022 The next NSL-TV Unfiltered video clip is a special feature for the XP8 fans. The 8-way teams were called to action in the early afternoon, and they were done after three rounds, which made it a total of seven competition jumps for Jeana Billings and Michelle Karamon. It doesn't sound like much, and it isn't, as of the number of jumps. The challenging part of their double-duties in 4-way and 8-way is the fact that they had to get up well before sunrise and get ready for the four rounds in 4-way Women, where they are trying to win FAI gold medals, as well. The 8-way competition was over shortly... (more)
News Article Did you know that the combined 4-way leaderboard is showing strong 4-way Women presence?
posted: Oct 21st, 2022 The 4-way competition on Friday at the FAI Outdoor World Meet was over after Round 4, as meet director Randy Connell had planned it. The 8-way teams began with their first round early in the afternoon and will probably complete their own four rounds, as well. There were no big surprises on the two 4-way leaderboards, compared to the NSL Power Rankings. Arizona Airspeed had a slow start and needed two rounds until they finally put the other three top teams into place. Airspeed is now 14 points ahead after the first four rounds. The competition for the 2nd place is as tight as expected, and... (more)
News Article Did you know that NFTO took the 4-way Women lead without any penalties?
posted: Oct 21st, 2022 The jump order that meet director Randy Connell came up with at the briefing and competition draw on Thursday evening turned out to fit well for the total number of teams in Formation Skydiving competition at the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022, including the five 4-way VFS teams. Four VFS teams boarded the first load at 7.00 am in the morning, and the fifth team in this event was a part of the next load for the first round in 4-way Women. The fourth team in this category then joined the first load in 4-way Open, and NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed finally ended up together alone in the last... (more)
News Article Did you know that Guatemala's La Playa is the newest 4-way team at a world meet?
posted: Oct 20th, 2022 Opening ceremony and competition draw have taken place, and competition reality begins tomorrow morning with Round 1 in 4-way VFS, 4-way Women and 4-way Open. The 8-way teams will come to the dropzone at noon, and meet director Randy Connell plans to complete up to four rounds in 4-way if possible. He created a very interesting jump order out of the situation that he was facing with 21 teams in 4-way Open. Starting the day with 4-way VFS, followed by 4-way Women, did not allow him to have the Top 4 teams of the FAI Tanay Mondial in the same load. However, at least NMP PCH HayaBusa will not be... (more)
News Article Did you know that Fun Flag and starting order boost up the level of excitement?
posted: Oct 20th, 2022 Day by day, and now hour by hour, Round 1 of the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 is coming closer. The meet briefing, with opening ceremony and competition draw, is scheduled for 17.30 pm at Skydive Arizona. As usual, there will be a lot of action on the ground as soon as the competition draw is released, and the NSL News will record as much of it as possible. There is also great news coming from the French delegation. It was already encouraging that national coach Mathieu Bernier eventually decided with the French federation to sanction an 8-way team for the world meet and arrived with a larger... (more)
