Did you know that the NSL/ESL concept is gaining momentum in the United Kingdom? posted: Jun 24th, 2005 Several local teams gathered to compete in the latest round of the NSL on the meet weekend of June 19 at the Royal Air Force dropzone, Weston on the Green, in the heart of lush green Oxfordshire countryside. The meet attracted nine teams in total. Four AAA Class teams, two AA Class teams and three Rookie Class teams competed for the honours. Out of all the teams, only AAA Class team South Parc and A Class teams Damn Zebra and Snurge Munkeys were formal teams with any team jumps to their name.

Did you know that Team Fastrax can use last weekend's 22.8 average as a confidence builder for Russia? posted: Jun 23rd, 2005 The scores of last weekend's competitions are almost complete, only information from Georgia and Virginia has not become available yet. The statistics are already very close to new record numbers, additional results from the missing two leagues could even top the record participation of the May 21 meet weekend.
A total of 81 teams had competed at twelve different events in May. 78 teams from nine different leagues are listed with last weekend's scores so far. However, while the AAA, AA and A Classes are slightly behind the May numbers, the Rookie Class participation has already set a new record... (more)
Did you know that Black Magick came true and competed in the FSL's A Class competition? posted: Jun 22nd, 2005 The Florida Skydiving League was facing an unusual situation at the fourth meet of the 2005 season last Saturday at Skydive City in Zephyrhills. It was a summer meet, and there was no weather threat. No hurricanes were trying to make the FSL life miserable. In addition, an expectedly high number of ten teams attended the meet in Zephtrhills.
There were more unusual events taking place at Skydive City the same day. The NSL News on June 17 had already announced that a new team would join the FSL teams for the June meet. Black Magick followed up on the promise and showed up Saturday morning ready... (more)
Did you know that the CanAm meet included a lot of waiting time? posted: Jun 21st, 2005 The first meet of the 2005 CanAm season was beset by the same conditions that many of the previous meets had also suffered: Low, solid clouds.
Three AAA Class teams patiently waited for the weather to clear. Two veterans of the CanAm league, Team Go (Bob Semmens, Rob Murray, Randy Wurzburger, Robert Bilinsky and Adam Grainger on video) and Vertical Descent (Rob Stipsits, Ellen Komejin, Ahmed Kolb, Mike Pitt and Brad Vale on video) were present. Did you know that the Midwest Skydiving League had record participation and record scores? posted: Jun 21st, 2005 At the May 23 meet the MWSL took part in the new NSL record of 81 teams participating in a single weekend. This past Saturday the MWSL set its own record when a total of 10 teams came to compete at Meet 2 at Chicagoland Skydiving Center. The MWSL's streak of good meet weather continued as Saturday was a virtually perfect day for jumping in the Midwest, a rarity in 2005. All eight teams from Meet One returned and were joined by two additional teams: the Has-Beens (Lem Castro, Tim McKee, Julian Dawson, Tom Bohm) made up of some of the most experienced 4-way competitors in the Midwest and Chasing... Did you know that last weekend's coverage begins with record participation in the Northern Plains? posted: Jun 20th, 2005 The NPSL had a record turnout of nine 4-way teams show up at Skydive Twin Cities in Baldwin Wisconsin. Even so, the excellent organization by manifest and sunny weather allowed us to complete the entire meet in a single day and still keep SDTC's regular business moving with the one Twin Otter. Skydive Twin Cities just a week ago witnessed a Class 2 tornado that touched down just a couple miles to the west. Luckily, this weekend was all sunshine. (more)
