News Article Did you know that twelve teams competed at the TSL season opener?
posted: May 26th, 2005 Once again the Texas Skydiving League has started off the year with a stellar meet. Skydive Spaceland hosted the first 2005 meet on May 21st and 22nd. The 4-way meet ran all six rounds on Saturday without a hitch. There were 12 teams in attendance with an expanded participation in the Rookie Class and more dropzones represented this year than in any previous year. The AAA Class had returning champions Dallas Thunder, as well as Dallas Blunder, Arizona Direct and the all female team, Method. News Article Did you know that Teiwaz has many faces?
posted: May 24th, 2005 The summer weather pattern has already taken control over skydiving competition in Florida. The complete scoreboard of the past weekend shows that 67 of the currently listed 77 teams completed six rounds. Six of the ten teams with a lower number of rounds competed at the third 2005 meet of the Florida Skydiving League. The Saturday morning in DeLand offered the usual blue skies. However, the clouds began building up in the later morning, and a summer storm was finally ready to hit the event area when the fifth round of the competition was almost completed. News Article Did you know that Air Pollution and Controlled Descent continued with their MASL battle at Cross Keys?
posted: May 24th, 2005 Skydive Cross Keys hosted the first annual Rookie Challenge and 4-way scrambles last weekend, in conjunction with the first 2005 Mid Atlantic Skydiving League 4-way meet of the year. The turnout was stellar with four Rookie Class teams, including team Chambersburg 5 who traveled all the way from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, for their first competition. Coaching and judging were provided by former 02 Project members Tom Petzold and Karl Schuch. News Article Did you know that there was confusion over the penalty rules at the MESL competition?
posted: May 23rd, 2005 The NSL News mentioned earlier today that the teams competing at the season opener of the Mideast Skydiving League were confused about the current rules that regulate the penalty situation. In fact, the situation at Skydive Greene County was not only confusing for the teams and competitors, it was also challenging for the event judge and the meet director. Deanne Hesterberg was the MESL event judge. She is a current USPA national judge for Formation Skydiving competition and naturally very familiar with the USPA Competition Manual. News Article Did you know that the scores of 61 teams and the first meet story are already posted?
posted: May 23rd, 2005 The past weekend turns out to offer as many scores and much information as it could be expected. Around noon on Monday, a total of 61 teams was already listed in the scoring table, with the teams of several leagues still not on the board yet. The first meet story of the Midwest Skydiving League competition at Skydive Chicago follows below. There comes a lot of additional information with the scores. News Article Did you know that the NSL SkyVenture Competition is back on for the 2005 season?
posted: May 20th, 2005 NSL and SkyVenture Orlando finalized the plans for the continuation of the NSL SkyVenture Competition 2005 right in time. The popular game has had all participating teams in pursuit of the SkyVenture tunnel certificates in the past years. The NSL Shugar/O'Connor handicap system has been applied, which gives each team the chance to contend for the prizes, no matter which performance level or competition class.
