posted: Jul 6th, 2005 Tuesday became a very long day, especially for the judges and the NSL News. The 4-way teams still completed two rounds in the afternoon, and it was halftime for each event. The judges finished their work around 10 pm, and that was also the time when the last scores and videos were uploaded. The schedule for Wednesday gave the 4-way teams an easier start in the morning. The first loads were called to the planes at 10:30 am. The earlier morning was used for the Accuracy competition. News Article Did you know that the NSL-TV Malevsky page stores the meet videos for later viewings?
posted: Jul 5th, 2005 Hopefully, the valued NSL audience has already explored the special page, which is dedicated only to NSL-TV videos coming from Russia. This features was not available when the NSL News visited Russia for the Malevsky Memorial Cup 2005 coverage. Actually, the NSL-TV program does not allow at all to show more than one round of any event. Last year's NSL-TV coverage featured all ten competition jumps of the meet, round by round. However, many of the ten rounds could not be viewed by audiences at distant locations on the globe. There is a time difference of eight hours between the NSL headquarters... (more)

posted: Jul 5th, 2005 The French 8-way team was two points ahead of Arizona Airspeed after the first two rounds on Monday and had put up a very impressive performance especially in round two. The NSL News asked French national coach Jerome David for background information on the 8-way progression before round three began. News Article Did you know that Fastrax posted the highscore in round three?
posted: Jul 4th, 2005 Round three of the 4-way Open competition was the round for the underdogs. The leaders after round two and three, Airspeed Velocity and DeLand Fire, could still not break their tie and have posted identical scores for each round so far. Airspeed Odyssey fell five points behind after several flaws and point deductions (2) in the fast sequence (K-A-3-F). The winners of round three were Spa Hayabusa from Belgium and Team Fastrax. Hayabusa came first on DZ-TV and impressed with the highest score of 27 points. DeLand Fire and Airspeed Velocity had to deal with a brainlock (Fire) and a point deduction... (more)

posted: Jul 4th, 2005 The event activities at the Malevsky Memorial Cup 2005 have picked up the pace hour by hour. The last training day on Sunday ended with most beautiful weather. The team briefing took place on the competition site at 7 pm, and the competition draw was handed out. The teams went straight to work, while the draw was uploaded to the NSL scoring table. All three Formation Skydiving events, 4-way Open, 4-way Female and 8-way, use the same numbers and letters for all ten rounds. News Article Did you know that DeLand Fire is on top of the leaderboard after the training round?
posted: Jul 3rd, 2005 The activities at the competition site of the Malevsky Cup 2005 picked up pace and momentum today. Usually teams do not jump very much on the last day before a competition. However, the bad weather of the last week put many teams significantly behind the planned meet preparation, and they used the much better weather conditions today to warm up for the competition. Teams, competitors, videographers, pilots, manifest, staff and judges had a very busy day, and the NSL-TV used the warm-up procedures in the judging room to steal some videos of the official training jumps from the DZ-TV.
