posted: Aug 1st, 2005 CanAm Skydiving League Director Scott Anderson surprised the NSL News last week, exactly on July 27, with a message that was related to the Canadian Championship 2005. He forwarded a note that he received through the CSPA (Canadian Sport Parachuting Association) chat list: "This morning at 08:39 a Twin Otter took off from the Canadian Nationals in Farnham. Team Stratosphere exited and set a new Canadian Record for 4-way Formation Skydiving with 26 points. News Article Did you know that AirKixx competed in Perris in June and goes for the UK title this weekend?
posted: Jul 30th, 2005 The third round of the Southwest Skydiving League June meet has been uploaded for viewing on NSL-TV, while the July meet is already up for this weekend. SSL Director Pamela Stevens announced that 14 teams had already signed up for today's competition at Skydive Elsinore. Most of the teams, which can currently be viewed with the new round of NSL-TV, will put scores on the SSL scoreboard once again this weekend. (more)
News Article Did you know that Sinapsi PD with Pete Allum is the new Italian 4-way champion?
posted: Jul 29th, 2005 The NSL News completes the series of interviews after the Malevsky Cup 2005 with feedback provided by Pete Allum, team member of Italy's old and new national team, Sinapsi PD. Sinapsi competed as a guest team in Russia, Pete Allum then traveled to Florida for a few days before the next event was up for his team, the Italian national championship. In the meantime, Sinapsi PD also attended the World Games in Germany with the same line-up that qualified for this event last year at the World Meet in Croatia. News Article Did you know that the MESL July meet story comes along with a new round of MESL-TV?
posted: Jul 28th, 2005 Just prior to the beginning of our 3rd meet of the Mideast Skydiving League 2005 season, MESL Director Randy Connell approached the assembled competitors with a request: on July 2nd, there was an incident at a drop zone that has been a huge supporter of the league since its inception. This incident resulted in one fatality and one severe injury. In the aftermath, the drop zone involved has opened a trust fund for the children of the skydiver who was killed, and a health savings account for the skydiver who was injured. News Article Did you know that more Black Magick is now on NSL-TV?
posted: Jul 27th, 2005 The NSL-TV production is a little bit behind schedule. The NSL News story announcing the Malevsky Cup DVDs last week promised new NSL-TV very soon, first FSL then SSL footage. There was a new round of NSL-TV next day, however, it covered the June meet of the Northern Plains Skydiving League. The NPSL DVD, provided by NPSL Director Sandy Grillet, became priority after weeks of waiting for NSL-TV attention. Then came last weekend's meet stories, and the new rounds of NSL-TV had to wait even longer. However, the second round of the Florida Skydiving League's June meet at Skydive City could finally...
