News Article Did you know that Echochamber lost six points in a very unusual way?
posted: May 6th, 2023 The aftermath of the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 continues with the part of the 4-way Open Class leaderboard that was promising the tightest and most competitive situation before the event even began with Round 1. Five teams battled round by round for the highest positions behind the four medal contenders, and also behind the Jochen Schweizer Arena Airfource from Germany, who distanced themselves from the same five teams and finished closer to the Qatar Tigers than expected. There was only a 6-point difference between Echochamber (Sweden) in 6th place and Purple Maze (Finland) and... (more)

News Article Did you know that Purple Maze made the Top 10 with one of the cleanest performances?
posted: May 3rd, 2023 The NSL News mentioned in the recent Indoor Cloud League update that the tight competition in 4-way Open and 4-way Women at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 still generated only one tie in the rankings on both leaderboards. It was expected that the competition for the 5th place and the Top 10 positions in 4-way Open would offer exciting battles for the better finishes. It was not a big surprise that the only tie of the whole horizontal Formation Skydiving competition eventually happened right at the Top 10 threshold. Purple Maze from Finland and Papea from Spain both were expected to... (more)
News Article Did you know that seven former and current Skydive Midwest NEXT members are on the new ICL Midwest leaderboard?
posted: May 3rd, 2023 It is very unusual if Indoor Cloud League teams end up with tied totals for the six monthly sequences. It is even more unusual when it happens on the top of the leaderboard. In fact, it happened only once in the history of the 14+ leaderboards until the teams of the Hurricane Factory and ICL Midwest finished with 123 points both for the month of April. It was in January 2018 when the Czech teams at the Hurricane Factory and Paraclete XP's lineups tied their totals of 128 points for the highest scoring number. The NSL News reported the unusual situation on 4 February 2018, after both teams had... (more)

Papea improved the Spanish ranking position on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard the most, between the previous indoor world championship at Weembi Lille 2019 and the recent results in Slovakia (14th to 9th), followed by Dutch 4-way team Out Of The Blue (13th to 9th). Gary Smith gave OOTB special credit for... (more)
News Article Did you know that complacency is the top competitor's worst enemy?
posted: Apr 29th, 2023 Gary Smith and Kirk Verner were a part of the NSL News countdown towards the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023. They provided their thoughts and expectations during NSL Live Talk on April 11th. Gary Smith was on the way to Qatar, while Kirk Verner was working at Paraclete XP. The NSL News was hoping to follow up with both in the next conversation after the completion of the event. It was even more difficult to coordinate the three different agendas at that time. Jeana Billings mentioned during the NSL Live Talk with Arizona Airspeed and XPG4 that she was heading back to Paraclete after the... (more)
