Did you know that Evolution posted a new national highscore for Sweden last weekend? posted: Jul 6th, 2009 The NSL News reported on 25 June 2009 how Sweden and Finland both had bad luck with the weather on their first meet weekend this year. The teams from the Scandinavian countries coincided to have their second meet of the 2009 season once again on the same weekend, and the weather was good enough to allow a completed competition in Sweden and four/five rounds in Finland.
Lennart Vestbom, representative for the Swedish Parachuting Association, told the NSL News that the Swedish national team of 2008, Evolution, was already selected as the new national team of 2009 after the first 2009 meet:

Did you know that the Mass Defiance 19.3 average is still in jeopardy? posted: Jul 5th, 2009 The NSL News follows up on the July 1 story, which included the videos of the Midwest Skydiving League teams that competed at this year's season opener at Skydive Chicago.
The NSL News promised to upload additional videos later, focused especially on AAA Class team SDC Rhythm XP. The new round of NSL-TV videos includes all six rounds of the MWSL shooting star and also additional rounds of the new AA Class lineup, CSC Pareto Optimal.

Did you know that the World Cup 2009 has open slots for US teams? posted: Jul 4th, 2009 The event pages for all three Formation Skydiving events (4-way Open, 4-way Women, 8-way Open) of the FAI World Cup 2009 have been set up for a little while now, and the scores offer a review of the last World Cup in Russia 2007.
As in 2007, no US 4-way teams have registered for the most relevant international competition this year so far. The US 2009 slots seem to be open for other teams, as the three top contenders (Arizona Airspeed, Perris Fury, Spaceland Force XP) have no plans to travel to Europe at this point in time. Did you know that Hot Flash gave Funnel Approach a hot competition in Texas? posted: Jul 3rd, 2009 Seven teams attended the second meet of the Texas Skydiving League 2009 season at Skydive Dallas last weekend and almost matched the attendance of the season opener at Skydive Spaceland. Two teams from Spaceland (BS5, Funnel Approach) visited Skydive Dallas after a season start with only home teams from Spaceland at the May meet, except Hot Flash.
All home teams from Dallas attended their first competition this year, while BS5, Funnel Approach and Hot Flash posted their second set of meet scores. Both visiting teams from Spaceland took the first places in their categories, BS5 in the AA Class... (more)
Did you know that two MidAtlantic Skydiving League teams won their categories last weekend? posted: Jul 2nd, 2009 Last weekend's leaderboard is now complete, as the scores from Texas have been added to the ones from the MidAtlantic Skydiving League.
MASL teams took the first places in the AAA Class (Cross Keys Blue) and the AA Class (VTSD, Weatherhold), while teams from Texas dominated the Rookie Class competition at Skydive Dallas. The NSL News will go back to the TSL meet later.
MASL Director Cherie Schuch provided photos and a few videos of the competition at Cross Keys. The team photos complete the team pages where the lineups have already been posted earlier.

Did you know that new NSL-TV videos include SDC Rhythm XP's first two outdoor rounds? posted: Jul 1st, 2009 Meet videos from the Midwest Skydiving League's season opener on June 20 have arrived at the NSL News office and have been uploaded.
The videos of Round 1 feature all seven MWSL teams that competed that weekend at Skydive Chicago.
One MWSL team received additional attention, as the NSL News has covered the steep team career of SDC Rhythm XP already quite a few times. However, no current videos of the US shooting star have been available until MWSL Director Alan Butt provided the footage of the MWSL season opener.
