posted: Jun 25th, 2016 The June meet of the Virginia Parachute Council was only a small event with four teams. However, it included an exciting and very interesting battle for the 2nd place behind winner Suffolk Sabotage. Where's Chris? and Sister Wives ended up tied after their five rounds, and Where's Chris? was declared the team in 2nd place of the VPC meet, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on June 22nd. VPC Director John Meyer had applied the current USPA/FAI rules for a tie-breaking situation, and the battle of his two AA Class teams exposed a weakness of the current definition. News Article Did you know that teams in Virginia needed the USPA rulebook to break a tie last weekend?
posted: Jun 22nd, 2016 Last weekend's overall leaderboard is complete after the scores from the second 2016 competition of the Virginia Parachute Council were added. All four VPC teams competed in the same category (AA) and ended up behind Z-Hills PreciZion of the Florida Skydiving League. Suffolk Sabotage stole the highscore for Round 1 from the FSL team, who suffered two point deductions in the same round. Suffolk Sabotage, who also post Indoor Cloud League scores for iFLY Virginia Beach on a regular basis, finished far ahead of the other VPC teams. News Article Did you know that the Virginia Parachute Council launched its 2016 outdoor season last weekend?
posted: Apr 21st, 2016 Scores from iFLY Virginia Beach have been on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard since the beginning of the 2016 season. It is one 4-way team that has been collecting ICL points each month this year, Suffolk Sabotage, and the 2016 total of 136 points for the first three months is enough to maintain the 8th place out of ten currently participating ICL teams. Suffolk Sabotage is not mainly focused on indoor competition. News Article Did you know that V Shock won the internal Virginia DZ showdown last weekend?
posted: Jul 16th, 2014 A total of 56 teams are currently ranked on last weekend's overall leaderboard, which is not complete yet. The Midwest Skydiving League had a busy meet at Chicagoland Skydiving, and the scores will be added soon. Most of the teams competed at Langar in the United Kingdom (26) and in Maubeuge, France (26), and the Sun Path Products NSL News will soon follow up with additional information of those events. posted: Jul 13th, 2014 The Sun Path Products NSL News re-published an article earlier this year that was written by Sidney Owen Williams for Blue Skies Mag. Sydney Owen Williams is in charge of events and marketing at Skydive Elsinore and has the Tail slot for Elsinore Horizon. Her team competed in the A Class last year and in the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals. Her passionate 4-way story of March this year explained how she came to 4-way competition and eventually founded Elsinore Horizon together with Kristian Szczpetiko. News Article Did you know that skydive Suffolk is back hosting meets for the Virginia Parachute Council?
posted: Aug 5th, 2013 It was in August 2006 when the Virginia Parachute Council held a 4way competition the last time at Skydive Suffolk. DC3 (Christine Bruchac, Christi Meyer, Chris Halsa, Dave Owens, with Tres Waugh on camera) competed with a local lineup that consisted of Jim Burley, John Carlson, Eddie Heady, Mary Miller and Pete Schwartz on camera. VPC Director Elizabeth Kang now reported that her 4way competitors met again at the same place on the July 27 weekend - seven years later.
