Optimum CTR in action over Eloy
The old and new Brazilian champion set a new Latin American and Brazilian record of 24 points in round ten and also improved the Latin American and Brazilian Record for the highest meet average with this result. Optimum CTR is now qualified to represent Brazil at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2006 in Germany.

Team captain Fabio Diniz confirmed that his team will travel to Germany: "We will be there, and we will train to represent Brazil the best way we can."

Optimum CTR with Craig Girard
Fabio Diniz also provided additional feedback of the team's journey in 2006: "Our preparation for the Brazilian Nationals began in January 2005 when we started the routine of technical, physical and physiological training that were the team's basis for the year."

Optimum CTR has been working with Airspeed veteran Craig Girard: "We held three training camps, the first one in April, when our coach Craig Girard came to Brazil to organize the International Meeting of Formation Skydiving and also to work with our team. We made 25 jumps, and then we went to the USA where we trained for a few hours in the wind tunnel in Orlando. Both camps were very successful. Finally, we traveled to Eloy, Skydive Arizona, where we would stay for 20 days of training and to represent Brazil at the 2005 World Cup."

More Optimum CTR freefall action
Optimum CTR made 40 training jumps before the competition and completed eight hours of wind tunnel training: "Our training in Eloy was fantastic. After all, we were with a great friend and one of the best coaches in the world, Craig Girard. We spent very fun twenty days with great learning under the supervision of Craig's clinical eyes".

The World Cup in Eloy was not the end of the season for the Brazilian team, the national championship was still to come: "The World Cup was a great learning experience for us. Our 12th position and our average of 12.9 after eight rounds was the best average and best position of Brazil at a World Cup. We were very happy. Then, our next goal was again in Brazil, our Nationals, four weeks after the end of the World Cup."

Brazilian silver medalist So Pressao
Fabio Diniz and his team have more idealistic and athletic goals. The first test season of the new Brazilian Skydiving League went well and has also become a part of the team efforts: "The search for knowledge shows us the true distance between what we think we are and what we really are. We hope that we can have more teams representing Brazil in the near future, together with a great life and skydiving experience for all of us."
