The Sabiha Gökçen Medal of the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) is awarded to the woman who achieves the most outstanding accomplishment in any FAI air sport activity during the previous year. According to Wikipedia, Sabiha Gökçen "was a Turkish aviator. During her flight career, she flew around 8,000 hours and participated in 32 different military operations. She became the world's first female fighter pilot at age 23."

Jeana Billings followed her FAI double gold in 2024 with another 8-way gold medal with Paraclete XP8 at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025, followed by an 8-way silver medal at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. Now, she is on her way to add another gold medal to her collection with the new XP8 lineup at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026.

The ceremony falls just one week before Round 1 of the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026, where Jeana Billings will most likely have the opportunity to add another 8-way gold medal to her collection. She did not compete in 4-way Women at last year's outdoor World Cup in Teuge, Netherlands, but returned to the event with XP Angels at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026.

There will be no double duties for her this year at Skydive Arizona in October. Ranch TNT SDAZ earned its qualification for the Outdoor World Championship at the USPA Nationals 2025, where Jeana Billings competed with The OGs. Ranch TNT finished as the highest-ranked 4-way Women team on USPA's 4-way Open Class leaderboard, where they faced only one opponent: the XP Angels, who competed without Jeana Billings in their lineup. Meanwhile, Paraclete's XP8 lineup will face the Qatar Falcons in Eloy. The Qatari team will be looking to challenge the United States, the reigning 8-way World Champions.
